Ep 3

The day after Yura's birthday.

" I didn't know that you took a leave because of your birthday"

" Yess...kkkk... And you thought something serious happened...kkkk"

" It's not funny....." Jaemun said in a low voice as he closed his eyes and crossed his hands.

" OK...kkk... I am going to stop now"

As the laughter died down, Jaemun continued his current tutor. Jaemun had throughly prepared Yura for the TOPIK exam that will take place in two months' time.

As time passed, the two felt closer, so it's possible that they see each other as friends, but who knows? On gloomy days, the other person alway talks about what is in their heart to the other person. In other words, they became each other listener, but only about topics that are within the school category.

On a day, Yura would complain about her math scores and Jaemun listens to her, while on some other days Jaemun would rent about how the teachers forced him to drink beer, but called him a loser because he refused and Yura listens. Soon, seeing each other every day became such a routine that skipping a session would make both of them feel empty. It's as if they had to meet, whether to talk, to rent, to listen or to study.

Two months flown by, and Yura had her TOPIK exam. She was nervous because she and Jaemun had prepared a lot for this exam.

Before entering the exam room, Yura checked her phone again in case Jaemun had sent her an encouraging message. She had been checking her phone almost ten times, which two was a notification from her families, wishing her good luck.

Yura somehow felt disappointed, although she was confused herself as to why. However, as soon as she saw Jaemun waving at her from the entry of the exam building, a smile lit on her face. Yura smiled at Jaemun and threw small waves at Jaemun.

After the exam was over, Jaemun had brought Yura to a noodle restaurant to celebrate her for her hard work.

" It's getting really cold nowadays, so I brought you to this noodle place. Their food is tasty, and the place is also hygienic -"

" The results are not out though, what if I fail?" Yura groaned as she looked at the evening city outside the window and continued," it was really hard ..." Yura let out a soft cry.

"You tried your best, didn't you?"

" Yes..."

" Then it's worth celebrating. Not many high-schoolers take the TOPIK level you took," Jaemun tries to consult her as the waiter brings the noodles, " let's eat first and then think about the exam. You need to warm up."

" Well... I guess I should really eat first..." Yura said and took a bite as an exclaim followed, " It's really delicious!! ... Wait. How much does this cost?"

" It's fine! It's on me today, I'm not your teacher for today, so I'll pay for the bills, " Jaemun replied as he immersed himself with the taste of the food.

Unknowingly, Yura was startled by his remarks. She wasn't sure whether she was having butterflies due to the taste of the food or whether any sort of feelings started to develop in her. She tried to eliminate the second thought out of her head as she knew that she would only hurt herself from going down that path. However, a part of her was excited and confident in this possibility, which she felt guilty of.
