" If you want to study abroad in Korea, you must take TOPIK." Mr.Jaemun suggested

" But... Right.... I should" Yura signed.

That's was how the Yura came to prepare for the TOPIK, with the help of Mr.Jaemun.

Day by day, the two would meet up at a quiet cafe farway from the school and practice Korean. As they spent more time with each other, they became closer and closer. Moreover, they even understood each other better, especially each other's past.

"Are you planning to travel agian?" Yura asked as she was busy completing her exercise

" Well..."

" ?? " Yura looked at Mr.Jaemun with a curious expression while he was looking out the window trying to find the right answer to give Yura.

" Maybe I'm going back home..."

" Will you teach art in Korea?"

" Probably not."

" Then what are you plan -"

" No more questions related to my life. Let me check how you are doing?"

After that, an awkward silence hazed between the two until Mr.Jaemun broke the silence with a "Well done! You almost got everything right. "

As the lesson continued, Yura told herself how stupid she was to suddenly cross the line. It was so embarrassing for her to acquire his privacy.

[1 month later]

Due to a more convenient communication, Yura and Mr.Jaemun exchanged their phone numbers.

" Hello, Teacher?" Yura spoke over the phone.

" Yura! What's wrong?"

" I would like to skip today's session as I am going back home due to things that came up."

" Oh ok. I heard that you have asked for absent permission for the whole day. I hope things are ok!"

" Hahah....Hahaha!" Yura laughed over the phone, " ...good .. bye..". Yura greeted as every word was accompanied by a laugh.

" What's so funny?"

The phone line ended there and Jaemun's curiosity was left unanswered.

During the lunch break, as Jaemun was walking pass Yura's classroom, he accidentally heard the conversation that was held in the classroom and paused on his tracks.

" I thought she would stay this year. it's the last year which we study together."

" It's always like this, we never get to surprise her..... "

" She has to go celebrate with her family"

" she doesn't live with her parents?"

" Nah, she lives with her aunt."

" Ohh I didn't know that...."

" Let's keep Yura's birthday to the other side and talk about our exams instead..."

The conversation began to fade in Jaemun's head as his thoughts grew louder. He was thinking of how embarrassing he was, making the situation as if a major crisis had happened to Yura. Turns out it was her birthday. He never knew that she had this routine of asking permission to visit her hometown on her birthday.

On the other hand, Yura had visited her parents, who currently stays in another province due to their job as seafood sellers and her grandparents. She had been enjoying her time and had left via train with her aunt to return back to the city. She had always promised to visit on her birthday because she knew that after going abroad, she would have less time to spend with herfamilys. Yura had already discussed her future with her parents, and they supported her; she was happy, and so were they.
