As long as I understood this story...No one is actually wrong here. It's just this is how everyone is taught here... It's not like this division between Water and Fire elements getting practiced between the people for 2 or 3 decades No , this is going on from 100+ years ofcourse this thought got craved in their soul before they started to understand the world... And I am sure Kook maybe little sympathetic and good To Monsters if he had a fire element but his thoughts towards them do not fully differ.
Example - Some of us think Black Càt is bàd and definitely get scared if that càt cross the path... what is this That Black Càt did nothing... Think the stereotype here too
But change is needed because some got too much indulged in that their actions crossed humanity's limit.
