Several kilometers from vampire territory, in the center of the continent, lies the Moonlight pack, which is the main and headquarters of The Confederation.
The Confederation was established 2000 years ago but was restructured three centuries later with the arrival of the four brothers to different territories, as instructed by the Moon Goddess.
100 years later, the great war for the survival of the races began. After many invaluable losses, two orders were established:
The first order consists of the four predominant races: wolves, vampires, witches - mages, and humans, called children of the Moon.
The second order consists of races that were not well-known prior to the start of the great war. They joined the children of the Moon to fight against the enemy that threatened to extinguish them. These races were Nymphs, Fairies, and Elves, known as children of the forest.
The ruler of the great Confederation was the Alpha King, who assumed this position after the great war, by decree of the Great Moon Goddess and with the approval of the races.
Alexander Kane, the current Alpha King, at his young age of 25, had become a great leader. With his guidance, The Confederation and Moonlight were in their prime.
Alexander's presence intimidates anyone who crosses his path, not because he is an ugly man, but quite the opposite. His fair skin, blond hair, Caribbean-blue eyes, and well-toned body make any woman fall at his feet. However, his gaze is cold and distant, his face always showing no expression, his imposing demeanor and the aura he emits make him a feared man.
Despite being the Alpha King, Alexander carries an unfinished matter that has haunted him for 15 years. It torments him day and night - finding the culprit responsible for the death of his father, the previous Alpha King Amadeus, and his mother. When I hear the door to my office open, I don't need to turn around to know it's Aron who just entered. He's the only one who would dare to enter without knocking.
"Alpha Alexander, your sister just called and asked me to remind you to send the invitations to the leaders of the packs and other races of the Confederation for the memorial ceremony of your parents, which will take place in three months. I've already sent them, if you allow me to add." Aron reported.
"Aron, how many times have I told you that when we're alone, you should call me Alexander? We are friends and have grown up like brothers. Your father raised me and treated me like a son, not to mention he was my mentor. Everything I am, I owe to him."
"Alexander, it is precisely because of my father that I forget to call you by your name. If he were to hear that I don't show you the proper respect, he could cut my head off. You know what kind of character he has."

Maybe if I hadn't been so stubborn, Albert would have been with my father, and together they could have defeated the Rogues who attacked them. There were no better warriors than the Great Alpha Amadeus and the guardian Albert. Their connection in battle was unmatched."
I feel Aron's hand on my shoulder. Although I know he doesn't blame me for it, that feeling still lingers in my mind and heart.
This is one of the reasons why I can't abandon the goal of finding the killers, and I will make them pay dearly.
