ARIA

Oh my God, I overslept! I hurriedly rush out of the room, quickly putting my hair up in a ponytail and trying to straighten out my worn-out dress, which was a gift from Cala. Since she and I were friends (well, secretly from Luna Solange), she would give me her dresses that no longer fit her because despite being younger than me, she had a fuller figure due to eating so little and being very thin.

Caleb taught me everything I needed to know to defend myself, hand-to-hand combat, and how to survive outside the pack. While it is true that I have never gone beyond the pack's boundaries, both of them know that I plan to leave Sunshine when I turn 18 and have my wolf, even though they didn't like the idea very much. They supported me because they know that no one deserves the life I have here.

I reached the kitchen and ran into Mery, the cook, who is a grumpy woman in her forties. She hurried me and asked me to pass her the eggs and milk because Luna wants to have breakfast on the terrace. She says she'll be leaving early for the city because she has to do some shopping for the gathering in three days' time.

"Alpha Kiran, I... I didn't mean to disturb. Your mother asked me to come wake you up for breakfast."

I was baffled. I had never seen a naked man in my life, let alone someone like Kiran. He was 6 feet tall, muscular, with brown hair and green eyes. I can't deny that he's very handsome, and all the girls in the pack swoon over him. But never did I imagine that I would be attracted to him. Besides, he has always treated me in a condescending manner, making me feel less, reminding me that I'm an orphan who should be grateful for having a place to sleep. And now, this approach from him makes me nervous. What does he want, especially now that there are only a few days left until I'm free.

"Did I ask you a question, orphan? Did you like what you saw? You know how many women would give anything to have seen me naked."

It was then that I felt his hands slide under my dress, touching my legs.

I had endured many things - abuse, beatings - but I couldn't allow this. It was then, when Kiran loosened his grip, that I delivered a knee to his groin, causing him to release me and fall to the floor in pain. I took advantage of the moment to run out of his room.

I ran, without looking back, into the forest, and I didn't stop until my legs gave out. I stumbled upon a cave I had never seen before and entered to seek refuge and rest. I sat on a rock, but I didn't know how long I had been running. I was exhausted, and at that moment, I couldn't take it anymore. Tears began to flow uncontrollably from my eyes - tears that I hadn't shed in 12 years, despite being beaten. I had promised myself that I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of seeing me defeated. But now, I couldn't bear it any longer. I cried like a little girl, releasing all the pain that had been pent up in my heart. I pleaded with the Moon Goddess for help, for I couldn't bear it anymore. I don't remember when I fell into a deep sleep.
