My name is Natalie, I'm 25 years old, and I'm an American who moved to Madrid when I turned 18. Coming from an extremely poor family without any prospects for improvement, I've always desired wealth and I'm willing to step over anyone who gets in my way.
I met Maisie at a coffee shop. Living alone and supporting myself, I pretended to be pitiful to get them to let me move into their apartment. I concocted a sob story about my sick parents and it worked like a charm. Luna, on the other hand, never liked me. I've tried to get close to her, but she's a tough nut to crack.
Upon meeting Maisie's boyfriend, I fell for him at first sight. Not only is he handsome, he's rich too. Since Maisie wouldn't give in to him, I began my seduction game.
Eventually, he gave in and since then, we've had wild sex. The problem is, this fool is deeply in love with Maisie and won't give up on her. I do everything he asks, yet he doesn't take me seriously. I helped him get Maisie demoted from her manager position; anyone who calls the cafe asking for a reference gets a mouthful of lies from me. I deserve the position since I've been working there longer than her—that's the only reason I agreed to do all this. But for this scheme, all I had to do was delete the CCTV footage on the day of the alleged theft. The rest was handled by Diego and the owner who was paid off handsomely to make it all happen. Even the police were bribed to play along.
After their fight, I spent the night with Diego.
I worked all day at the cafe, then he picked me up because he needed to unwind. We had passionate sex in the bathtub and then in bed. Exhausted, I snuggled into his chest, but he pushed me away and got dressed.
Natalie: Why do you always push me away after, Diego?
Diego: You know it's just sex between us! At least until I marry Maisie!

Natalie: Fiancee? - I asked sarcastically, wrapping myself in the sheet. - She doesn't want to marry you! Wake up, she doesn't deserve you!
Diego: Do you think you deserve me?
Natalie: Yes! I'm a real woman, I'm the one who satisfies you, not her!
Diego: You're only good for serving a man's needs, nothing more!
Natalie: How dare you say that to me after everything I've done for you? After all we've been through?!
Diego: Please, Natalie! You know I went through all the trouble of bringing Maisie to Madrid because I love her, I want her all to myself, I'd never leave her for you or anyone!
Natalie: Is that so?! What would she think if she saw her fiance in bed with another woman?!
He came at me then, grabbing my neck tightly.
Diego: You'd better know your place! You're nothing but a whore. If you dare tell Maisie anything, I'll leave you with nothing... If you have designer clothes, new shoes, and a cell phone, it's because I gave them to you. If you want to keep your luxuries, you best behave and help me get Maisie out of that nanny job!
I shoved him hard, forcing him to back off.
Natalie: Never touch me with those hands again, do you understand?! You brute! - I shouted.
I started to dress, letting tears of fury roll down my cheeks.
Diego: I don't understand why you're irritated?! I never promised you anything more than sex! You should be satisfied that I still give you little gifts and money when you need it!
Natalie: Screw you, Diego!
Diego: If you want more money, then make sure Maisie loses that job, or gets fired! - he said calmly as he went into the bathroom.

I left very angry, hailed a taxi, and headed to the apartment.
As soon as I arrived, the TV was on. I took a deep breath, put on a smile to hide my fury, and walked in.
Luna was lying on the couch watching TV.
Natalie: Good evening!
Luna: Good evening! I thought you were staying out tonight?
Natalie: Couldn't handle it! Saw something today that really bothered me and I ended up being poor company!
Luna: Wow! Must have been something serious! - she said sarcastically.
Natalie: And it was! Where's Maisie?
Luna: Sleeping!
Natalie: When I left the cafe, I was waiting for my boyfriend, and I saw Diego going into the restaurant nearby with a very beautiful woman!
Luna: What did you say?! - she asked, sitting up.
Natalie: You heard me right! I even thought she could be a colleague of his, but then I saw them holding hands as they walked in!
Luna: The bastard! And obviously, you had to tell!
Natalie: I'm telling only you, Maisie can't know! She'd be too hurt, and since Diego is friends with the cafe owner, it might come back to bite me!
Luna: What do you mean?! Where did you get that?!
Natalie: Yesterday Diego was at the cafe, and they acted like very close friends. I saw Diego giving him a cheque!
Luna: Why didn't you say anything before?
Natalie: I forgot!
Luna: What's your angle, Natalie?! Thought you were Diego's little friend! Why are you talking about him now?
Natalie: I'm closer to Maisie!
Luna: Sure! - she said, suspicious.
Natalie: Believe it or not, I can't do anything about it! - I shrugged. - I'm going to rest now!
A seed of doubt was planted in Luna’s mind. She's sharp and it won't take long for her to uncover the truth. Since I've done nothing incriminating, I have nothing to worry about. Diego won't even suspect that I'm the one orchestrating things for Maisie to find out the truth.
