However, things changed during my pregnancy; it was a tough time after a fall down the stairs at home, we couldn't be intimate, and with the birth of our little Victoria, things became even more strained. Camila: It's odd!
Ava: Do you believe they're lying?
Camila: Not necessarily, but I think someone's trying to sabotage her! The way the police handled it, the calmness of the business owner, and who would steal and be foolish enough to hide it in their own locker!
Ava: I thought so too! It's all very strange.
We talked some more and then I returned to my work.
At the end of my shift, Luna and I left chatting, and I offered to give her a ride home. As I was walking around to get in on my side of the car, a vehicle came speeding towards me. I was frozen, bracing for the impact. However, I heard Luna yelling and felt a forceful tug to the side; the car sped off.
We both fell to the ground but without injuries.
Luna: Are you alright?
Ava: Yes, and you?
Luna: I'm fine!
Ava: What an idiot, probably drunk! Thank you so much, you saved my life!
Luna: It was nothing!
I dropped her off in her neighborhood and drove to my own apartment. As soon as I entered, I went straight to our bedroom and heard the shower running. Entering the bathroom, I found my husband showering. I took my clothes off and hugged him from behind; things between us quickly heated up. We spent the entire night making love.
