Flashback...
Upon discovering that Luna was truly pregnant, Mother Ayu fainted once more, and Father Bisma decided to bring his wife back home to resolve all this chaos once they were safely at home.
"Tari, could you drive Father’s car, dear? Father is unable to drive as he must accompany and soothe your mother," Father Bisma requested of Mentari, their eldest child.
Indeed, tonight Father Bisma had intentionally given the drivers the night off, to commemorate his wife's anniversary.
"Of course, Father. What about Luna?" Mentari responded.
"Let Mas take Luna home, Ta. You'd better hurry and take Mother and Father home. Poor Mother needs a comfortable place to rest," Radit offered a solution.
Without a hint of doubt, Mentari agreed to her husband's suggestion. Consequently, at precisely eight o'clock in the evening, the Laksono family departed from the hospital.
They separated in the parking lot, using two different cars. Mentari was in one car with Mother Ayu and Father Bisma, while Radit took Luna with him in another.
Not a single word escaped from Luna’s small mouth after learning that she was no longer alone—that a tiny creature was growing inside her womb.
Radit chose to remain silent, allowing Luna to be lost in her thoughts for a moment. He knew Luna was not in a good place right now. However, he could not ignore this matter completely.
Taking a different route from his family's home, Radit was aware of the high risk this posed as it might arouse suspicion in his wife, but he couldn't neglect Luna's current condition, where the teenager now seated next to him was carrying his flesh and blood.
Unbeknownst to Luna, Radit was leading her to his apartment, not to her parents' home.
Luna was too absorbed in her thoughts and her current condition. She had no idea what her life would be like now; there was no image in Luna's mind at this point.
"Why are we here, Bro? And where is this?" Luna finally asked after a long silence upon realizing she was in a house foreign to her.
"Sit down. Let's talk here before we go home," said Radit, guiding Luna to sit on the sofa in his apartment.
After positioning Luna on the sofa, Radit walked to the kitchenette, grabbed a bottle of mineral water from the refrigerator, and brought it to Luna.
"Here, drink this. Sorry, it's all I have," Radit said, gazing at the face of his unborn child's mother, which was slightly pale.
"Where is this place, Bro? We need to go home."
"This is at my apartment, Luna. Don't be afraid. I just want to talk to you alone."
"What do you want to talk about?"
Radit took a deep breath with his eyes closed before expressing his desire. It was a difficult thing for him, but it was something he had to do to take responsibility for his actions toward Luna.
"Let's get married, Luna. I will marry you for the sake of this child," Radit stated firmly and with certainty.
Thump...
Once again, Luna’s heart seemed to stop upon hearing the statement from her brother-in-law's mouth.
"I will talk to the entire family, and I will discuss this with Tari as well. I hope she can accept our situation. Therefore, let's get married, dear, for the sake of this child," Radit clarified.
"No, Bro, I can’t. Tari will be devastated and hurt, and she might even repeat what she did three years ago. No, I can’t do it. Please, don't do this, Bro. I—I can raise it on my own, and I'm sure the child and I will be just fine," Luna answered, immediately panicking upon hearing Radit’s intent.
"But this child needs me, dear. He needs a father by his side, and I—I am his father," Radit raised his voice, now louder out of frustration because Luna kept refusing to acknowledge his responsibility.
