A week had passed since the incident, but Radit still couldn't speak to his sister-in-law.

Bulan kept avoiding him, often choosing not to come home and instead staying at her apartment, a gift from their mother on her 17th birthday.

But she rarely stayed at the apartment, as she preferred to be with her entire family at home.

"Mama said that tonight, you and Mbak Tari have to come home for dinner. Sis Raisa and Bang Habib are already at home, they arrived this morning. Sis Raisa really wants to meet Mbak Tari since she hasn't met her since you got married," Fabian explained in great detail to his older brother.

Raisa is the oldest sibling of Radit and Fabian, and there's a significant age gap of 10 years between Raisa and Radit.

"Alright, I'll come home tonight and stay over," Radit replied, before returning to the papers on his desk.

For a moment, Radit paused, suddenly lost in thought again when he saw Bian still sitting calmly in front of him, busy with his phone.

"Hmm, Bi... Bian," Radit called out to the person in front of him.

"What?" Bian answered shortly, without looking up from his phone.

"Aren't you in college?" Radit asked casually.

"I am, why?" Bian replied, turning the question back to Radit.

"Um, is Bulan going to college today?" Radit finally mustered the courage to ask Bian about the whereabouts of his sister-in-law.

Because Bian is the only one Radit knows as Bulan's friend, he doesn't know the rest of them.

"She's going to college, why? Why are you suddenly asking about her? You all live in the same house, how do you not know if your sister-in-law is going to college or not?" Bian replied while still engrossed in his phone.

"She hasn't been staying at home for almost a week, th-that's why I asked you. You're her friend," Radit stuttered, feeling nervous about suddenly asking about his sister-in-law.

"She's going to college, but she just started today. She skipped classes for four days without giving any explanation for her absence, that's why she got reprimanded by the professor," Bian explained.

"Is there a problem at home?" Bian asked, looking directly at his older brother.
