Time seemed to pass quickly, and before they knew it, it had already been a month since that fateful night.
The relationship between Bulan and Radit remained the same, with no changes. In fact, they grew apart even more when Bulan decided to move to her own apartment.
Although they resumed their normal lives, Radit still had a nagging feeling in his heart.
Radit couldn't stop thinking about the girl who used to be so cheerful and caring but had now become quiet and withdrawn. This made Radit feel an immense sense of guilt.
One night, something happened to Bulan. It was the night when they were having a family dinner to celebrate their mother's birthday.
Bulan rushed out of the VVIP area that their family used for the dinner.
Her hand covered her mouth, trying to hold back something that wanted to come out. Bulan ran as fast as she could towards the restaurant's restroom to relieve herself.
This didn't go unnoticed by a couple who had just arrived and were the latest to join the gathering.
They arrived just as all the specially ordered dishes for the occasion were served on the table.
And that's what made Rembulan run out of the room – the aroma of the dishes being prepared by the waiters became unbearable for her.
"What's wrong with her?" Mentari asked when she saw Bulan running past her towards the toilet.
"Maybe she couldn't hold it and needed to go to the bathroom," Radit replied, also observing his sister-in-law's behavior.
"Alright, let's go in. Mom must be waiting for us," Mentari suggested to Radit, but he immediately halted his steps.
"What's wrong? Why are you stopping?" Tari asked when she saw Radit pausing.
"You go ahead, I'll go to the restroom first," Radit gave an excuse.
"Alright, but don't take too long. They must be waiting for us," Tari said.
"Okay, honey. I'll be quick."
"Alright, go ahead. I'll go in first."
"Okay, go ahead."
After making sure Mentari entered, Radit hurried towards the toilet, but instead of entering the men's restroom, he accidentally entered the women's restroom where Bulan had just gone in.
Radit froze in his place when he saw Bulan vomiting in front of the restroom sink.
Pale-faced and covered in sweat, Bulan continued to vomit into the sink.
"Bulan, what's wrong?" Radit asked slowly approaching her.
"Ka-Sis Radit, I... mmmmffff...hoek hoek hoek," Bulan vomited again before completing her sentence.
Seeing Bulan weak and helpless, Radit quickened his steps and caught her collapsing body in front of the restroom sink.
"Bulan, wake up, what happened to you?" Radit said, tapping Bulan's face gently as she remained unconscious and covered in sweat.
There was no response from Bulan, so Radit decided to carry her out of the restroom and headed towards the parking lot where his car was.
Radit gently placed Bulan in the back seat of his car and called his wife to inform her that he would be taking Bulan to the hospital because she had fainted.
Although confused by the situation, Tari could only agree to skip the family dinner to accompany her sister-in-law to the hospital.
Tari immediately informed their mother about what happened to Bulan, causing everyone at the restaurant to panic and worry.
They rushed out of the restaurant to catch up with Radit and find out what had happened to Rembulan.
After a 30-minute drive, Radit arrived at Medika Hospital. He carried his sister-in-law towards the emergency room.
Upon arrival, Radit was greeted by two nurses and one attending physician. Without delay, they took Bulan for examination.
After a while, Bulan was brought into the hospital when at the same time Bulan's family arrived and approached Radit, who was still waiting in the waiting room in front of the examination room.
"How is Bulan's condition, son?" asked Mamah Rahayu, who is Bulan's mother.
