Just as quickly as it appeared ,the light starts to fade.

As my eyes adjust, I recognise my best friend Nicole.

Phoebe

Nicole!

Phoebe! Are you alright?

Nicole races to my side.

Her hands flutter to my shoulders, concern etched in her brows.

Nicole

Did it hurt you?

Phoebe

N-No I'm alright.I just...

Phoebe

I can't stop shaking. My throat hurts too.

Nicole

It's the shock. Here, have some water.

Nicole takes out a canteen and opens it.

Nicole

Drink as much as you need.

Her kindness warms my heart. I take a few swigs of the cold water.

Phoebe

Thankyou, Nicole!

Nicole

No need for thanks between us.

Nicole

I'm only glad I got here in time before it could seriously hurt you.

I recall the creature's growls and shiver with renewed fear.
