In the early morning, Emma wakes up to Isadora calling for her. She lies down next to her, and Isadora drifts back to sleep; they embrace until dawn breaks. Emma wakes up feeling someone touch her shoulder, hearing Diogo calling her, and she quickly opens her eyes.
Diogo: Let her sleep, and let’s head to your house to get your things. It’s clear it’ll be tough for you to come only on Monday.
Emma: Alright.
She gets up slowly, leaving Isadora still asleep. After changing, she heads to the living room where Diogo is waiting. When she comes down, he stands up and goes to the car; she follows and gets in the back. They drive to her house, and upon arriving, he sits on the couch, observing the place while she heads to her room to pack her bags.
It’s as if Emma is still half asleep as she gathers her few clothes and puts them into the suitcase. She packs everything she thinks she’ll need, placing her personal items into a box and sealing it. She comes out with her bags, and the security guards put them in the car along with the boxes; there aren’t many since she has very little stuff. After a quick shower, she changes into a comfortable dress.
Emma: Ready to go?
Diogo: Why don’t you have any frames in your house?
Emma: I don’t like them; I think we should move quickly as Isadora might have woken up.
Diogo: Okay.
They head to the car and drive back to his house. Diogo can't shake off that comment about not liking frames; he feels there's something she’s hiding, and he's determined to find out.
Once they arrive, Emma helps the guards with the bags, but Diogo stops her. They take everything to a room next to Isadora’s, and she begins organizing her things in the closet. Leaving some items in the box, she notices it's already 9 AM and heads to Isadora’s bedroom, sitting on the bed.
Emma: Good morning, my princess.
Isadora: Hum.
Emma: Time to wake up.
Isadora: Not now.
Emma: Fine, then I'm leaving.
Isadora: I’m awake.
Emma: Haha, lovely, let’s have a nice shower and breakfast.
Isadora: Okay, I want that again.
Emma: What do you mean?
Isadora: What you gave me.
Emma: The porridge, haha. I’ll make a delicious breakfast for you.
Isadora: Yay!
She says happily, still half-asleep. Emma gives her a bath and heads downstairs. Diogo has already eaten breakfast and is in the living room fiddling with his phone. Emma goes into the kitchen with Isadora, keeping her seated while preparing her own coffee; although the table is set, Emma wants to make a special breakfast for her.
Emma bakes some chocolate chip muffins and cheese bread, preparing her own plate, and they head to the table. Emma accompanies Isadora as she munches on the muffins, her mouth full of chocolate. Emma and Vilma can’t help but laugh, joining in the fun. Diogo approaches the table and kisses Isadora’s head, grabbing a piece of cheese bread for himself. Emma feels shy and a bit anxious; she’s unsure if he’ll like it and what he’ll think. She sips her coffee when the doorbell rings. Vilma goes to open it, allowing a woman to enter. Diogo walks over to greet her.
While Emma is cleaning up Isadora, the woman approaches.
Woman: What a cutie! Hello, sweetheart.
Isadora: Emma, I want to go out.
Emma: Okay, just let me finish cleaning you up.
Diogo: Say hi to Jade, sweetheart.
Isadora: I don’t like her.
Diogo: Isadora! Say hi now and stop being spoiled.
Isadora: Hi.
She says whimpering as Diogo scolds her. Emma finishes cleaning her up and takes her out; Isadora rests on her shoulder as they stroll into the garden. The day is beautiful; Emma sets Isadora down and runs off, with Isadora chasing after her. They play tag until they tire out, collapsing on the grass. Isadora lays on top of Emma, smiling.
When lunchtime comes, they head to the table where Diogo and the woman are already seated. Emma serves herself and begins to fix Isadora’s lunch.
Jade: Diogo, I didn’t know your maid sat at the table.
Diogo: She isn’t a maid, Jade, and even if she were, I wouldn’t see a problem with it.
Jade: You’re sometimes too liberal; be careful or people will take advantage.
Diogo: Jade, enough.
Jade: That little flower should be able to eat by herself; she’ll just become spoiled.
Diogo: Jade, please.
Emma wanted very much to respond to her but remained silent, continuing to help Isadora eat by cutting the meat and vegetables. They had lunch, and at no point did Emma dare look at any of them. After lunch, they went to the living room and played with dolls until late. Emma wanted to do something different and put the toys away, taking Isadora with her to the kitchen.
Emma: Hi!
Nicole: Hey, want some coffee?
Vilma: It’s warm!
Emma: No, thank you. I mean, not right now, haha. My assistant and I here are going to make some cookies, is that okay?
Nicole: The kitchen is all yours.
Emma: Thanks, haha.
Emma asked where things were and began gathering supplies. She prepared a dough and let Isadora press it until it was just right. Isadora had fun, and Emma let her keep mixing the dough. She smudged some dough on the tip of Isadora’s nose, and Isadora burst into laughter. Emma took some cookie cutters and placed the dough in the oven to bake. While they baked, Emma took Isadora to bathe, and she joined her in the bath. Diogo spent the afternoon in his room with the supposed friend and did not come downstairs. Emma heard some moans when she passed by on her way to the room but didn’t pay any mind. They returned to the kitchen, and Vilma had taken the cookies out of the oven.
They sat at the table and started eating the cookies. Emma called the girls over, and they sat to eat as well. Diogo appeared in the kitchen, and the girls felt a little scared. He grabbed a cookie and ate it.
Diogo: Congratulations to the one who made these. Vilma, put a couple on a plate; Jade will like them.
Vilma: Okay.
Vilma took the plate and handed it to him. He ate another and went back to his room. Emma felt a bit off but quickly returned to normal. After eating, Isadora grew sleepy, and Emma took her upstairs to the room. As soon as Isadora fell onto the bed, she was asleep, and Emma headed to her own room. Just as she was closing Isadora’s door, Jade appeared in front of her.
Jade: Hello.
Emma: Hi.
Jade: Who are you?
Emma: Emma, nice to meet you.
Jade: Hmm, what are you doing here?
Emma: I take care of Isadora.
Jade: I hope that's all you do. You know, Emma, some people are born to stay in their place, and when they mix with someone from another level, they end up looking lost and strange.
Emma: I don’t understand.
Jade: Let me translate: don't try to get involved, just do your job.
Emma: Not that I owe you any satisfaction or explanation, but I have only one goal: to take care of Isadora. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to rest.
Diogo appeared, and Emma brushed past him to her room. She changed clothes and lay on her bed, scrolling through her phone.
