Episode 7

Diogo swung the door open, and Emma was in her lingerie.

She gasped and quickly tightened her robe, while Diogo stood frozen, staring at her, running a hand through his hair.

Emma: Oh my God, why didn’t you knock?

Diogo: Because this house is mine.

Emma: But my privacy is mine.

Diogo: I don’t care.

Emma: Do you need something?

Diogo: Did you say anything to Jade?

Emma: No, don’t worry, I’ll never tell anyone.

Diogo: Great, take care of Isadora because I'm heading out and won’t be back tonight.

He left, slamming the door behind him, and Emma sat on the bed, taking a deep breath. She got dressed and went to the living room to read a book. Diogo had already left, and she waited for Isadora to wake up so they could have dinner together. Once Isadora was awake, they had dinner and watched cartoons until they fell asleep again. Emma went to her room and went to sleep.

A month passed, and every day was the same routine. She took Isadora to school daily and picked her up afterward. She waited and watched her ballet classes, and when they returned home, they played together. Emma noticed that Diogo wasn't very close to Isadora, who frequently talked about him, and that broke her heart.

Diogo went out almost every night, coming home drunk. Sometimes he even brought women back with him, and Emma would hear moans throughout the night. She never said anything out of fear of his reaction; she felt like she was nobody in that house and had no right to complain. On weekends, Emma would go home and hang out with Lara; they had fun together, and by the week's end, she was back at Diogo's house. Today was Saturday, and Emma was packing her things to go home. As she passed through the living room, she saw Isadora with Diogo. Isadora came running to her and hugged her.

Emma: My little love, I’ll be back soon, okay?

Isadora: Don’t take too long.

Emma: I won’t, I promise.

Isadora: Let me go with you.

Emma: Sweetheart, you can’t. I’ll take you to see my house one day, okay?

Isadora: Okay.

Emma: Bye, little one. Be good and behave.

Isadora: Alright.

Emma kissed her goodbye and left. A taxi was waiting at the gate, and she climbed in. When she arrived home, Lara was waiting at the door.

Lara: I’m so glad you’re here!

Emma: What enthusiasm!

Lara: Yes, lots! I have an invitation for you.

Emma: Here it comes.

Lara: I’m serious, girl! My friend got us two invites to a club. Will you come with me?

Emma: Only you would think of that, haha. Is it tonight?

Lara: Yes, please say you'll go!

Emma: Okay, I’m off tomorrow anyway, so let’s hit that club!

Lara: Yay! Grab your swimsuit, and let's go!

Lara already had her bag packed, and Emma went to get hers. They quickly left. Upon arriving at the club, there were a few people inside; it wasn’t crowded since it was rented exclusively for Lara’s friend. They approached him, and Lara greeted him.

Lara: Hi, Caio!

Caio: Hey, gorgeous! So glad you came.

Lara: This is my friend Emma.

Emma: Hello.

Caio: Hi there, beautiful! Make yourself at home... he said as he greeted her.

Emma: Thank you.

Caio: I’ll come chat with you both later. Go change.

Lara: Alright!

They headed to the restroom to change into their bikinis. Once dressed, they made their way to the huge pool, where they sat with their feet in the water, chatting. There were many handsome men and beautiful women around them.
