A wedding took place at Cana in Galilee ; Lord Jesus’s mother, Mary, was there. The Lord and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

After some time, the wine was gone and Mary, the mother of the Lord said to Him “They have no more wine.”

So the Lord Jesus responded to His mother “Mother, why do you involve me?” and He continued “My hour has not yet come.”

And the Lord’s mom told the servants “Do whatever He tells you.” and nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.

Then the Lord told to the servants “Fill the jars with water.” And the servants did as they were told to and filled the jars to the brim. Next, He told them “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

The servants did so ; the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine and did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had draw the water knew.

Then he called the bridegroom aside and said “Everyone brings out the choice wine and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink ; but you have saved the best till now.”

-What the Lord did here in Cana of Galilee, was the first signs through which He revealed the glory of His Father, our God and His disciples believed in the Lord Jesus.

The Lord Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues about God, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God, and healing every single person with diseases and sickness among the people. News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to the Lord all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; each of them, the Lord healed with God.

One day, the Lord Jesus entered again Capernaum. And those who heard the Lord had come here gathered but they gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door ; The Lord Jesus was preaching the Word of God and everyone was listening to Him.

While the Lord Jesus was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the Law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee, from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of God was with the Lord to heal the sick.

That day, some men came and were carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to take him into the house to lay him before the Lord Jesus but they couldn’t find a way to do this because of the crowd ; so the men went up to the roof and made an opening. Then they slowly lowered the paralyzed man who was lying on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of the Lord Jesus.

When the Lord saw these men’s faith, He exclaimed “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

And the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law who were among them, began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Immediately the Lord knew in His powerful spirit what the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law were thinking in their hearts, He then asked them “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier to say ‘your sins are forgiven’ or to say “get up and walk’?”

the Lord continued to speak “But I want you to know that the Son of Man have the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then He looked at the paralyzed man and said to him “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” And immediately the man stoop up in front of them ; he took what he had been lying on and walked out in full view of them all praising God.

This amazed everyone ; everybody was filled with awe, they were amazed and everyone gave as well praises to God, saying to each other “We have seen remarkable things today.”
