Cephas’s mother in law was laying in the bed ; she was suffering from a high fever and the disciples immediately asked the Lord to help her. So the Lord went to her, bent over and took her hand before He rebuked the fever. The fever left her ; she then got up at once and began to wait on them.

At the evening after the sunset, the people brought to the Lord all who had various kinds of sickness ; the whole town gathered at the door. The Lord healed many who had various diseases ; He would kindly lays His hands on each one of them and the people were healed by Him.

Moreover, The Lord Jesus also drove out many demons. As the demons came out of many people, they shouted “You are the Son of God!” but the Lord Jesus would rebuke them and would not allow them to speak because they knew He was the Messiah.

That evening, the Lord Jesus healed many ; He had kindly healed the sick and the demon-possessed.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark ; the Lord got up and left the house. He went out to a solitary place where He prayed.

The people were looking for Him so Cephas and his companions went to look for the Lord and when they found the Lord, they exclaimed “Everyone is looking for You!”

And rapidly the people found Him as well and when they came to where the Lord was, they tried to keep Him from leaving them but God’s Son said :

...“I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”...

And the Lord kept His word and went preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

The next day, the Lord Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, the Lord said to him, “Follow me.”

Philip, like the two brothers (Andrew and Peter) was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip immediately went to find Nathanael and told him “We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law and about whom the prophets also wrote- Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Nathanael then asked “Nazareth! Can anything good can come from Nazareth ?” “Come and see.” Said Philip.

When the Lord, saw Nathanael approaching, He said of him “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” Nathanael was surprised and asked Him “How do you know me?” The Lord answered him “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”

And Nathanael declared still surprised “Rabbi, You are the Son of God ; You are the king of Israel.”

The Lord said “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” The Lord continued “Very truly I tell you, you will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of God.”
