Call Of The Nightmare

Many thoughts are in the mind processing in a million ways. What to do with all this burning through my heart.

By the way I am Arjun and this is my story. Not a lot of excitement but what I am going to say is just listen to it carefully because either of us or you have the answer or know the answer. In this moment of my life at 12 a.m. I was hastened to something which didn’t let me sleep. I am 14 and I am of a confidential nature person but only to one guy I am not, that is ‘Sid’.

I rarely dream of something that is so magical and a handful. But right now we both have a mutual sort of dream getting the same events in it. I was a bit confused about the whole thing but not sure that I was ready for something or someone to face. But we started to search about the whole thing or place of the event.

“It was a place where I woke up in my dream was an ancient cave full of magic potions and many more. And there was my buddy Sid preparing something for some sort of warfare. But then I asked my stakes and told me to be careful and went to be careful and went to the battlefield with my teammates. But what I saw there was so horrible, that if there was an army of mutant humans with weird abilities and appearances. I was a bit tense but then I found out about my ability... But far away I saw someone wearing a black hooded cape standing in the cliff, sending the monsters. When I made a huge fireball and threw it towards him he bounced it back to me and I dodged it and fell down. But on the other side the fireball went towards the cave and it chased my buddy Sid and he too fell down.”

What I felt was a failure and nothing more.

Every time I try to avoid myself from it but it still becomes a part of me. I spoke about the place ‘BRYNWOOD’. But when I got to search about it I was shocked that it was a realm where all the mythical creatures existed and so on. I said to myself, ‘What did I see just now about BRYNWOOD! Was it not a dream ……Was it a reality of an event in the past .I need to figure it out and then I and Sid started to learn ancient letters so that we can encrypt anything related to the dream.

BRYNWOOD: The Forgotten Realms. What to say about that place, a mystery or a hard reality to believe.

This is how it started, the story, my story and I don’t know how it is going to turn me into this awful reality. But I need to be ready for whatever is coming towards us and maybe it is going to change everything in my life. Suddenly the door bell rang ‘ding dong’ and I ran towards them to see who was there at the corridor and guess who was there ‘Soothsayer Uncle’ who came after a long period of five years from Australia as he was on a management program of archeology. He was working on an archeology about a forest where it was believed that supernatural creatures really existed. So, there may be a way to the mystical world full of adventure. When I heard this I was too curious because I always dreamt of knowing more and more about the mythical creatures of the past.

But back in the dream what I saw was we were all supposed to be some kind of wizards who trained to save the world from impending threats while mastering our own abilities and unraveling conspiracy behind events. But I lost everything in this war…My life, my dignity and my brethren.

I don't know but for now we started to live a normal life, pursuing education and then moving to somewhere for higher studies but the dream that I saw will always be at our back chasing us somehow.

I was always thinking of training with masters of combat tactics and saving a life. So I decided to join the armed forces so that I could at least save a life because the existence of the supernatural is itself a myth and I don't think that it could ever be real but still what is bad in believing or keeping a little faith in it.

Sid and I did a lot of crazy things together. There was not a thing that we didn't do in going against the rules, from bunking classes to mistakenly burning forest near our hideout.

On one fine day Sid and I were going to the hideout doing a secret plan there. We were just about to return but then an authority was waiting in a bridge near our hideout and there was a chance that he could see us while crossing. But Sid didn't see him and came out without any notice and crossed but my heart was still beating but I at last didn't care and crossed the path. But after crossing when I looked at him stopping by I got to know that he didn't notice us because he was using his cell phone on the bridge. Getting to know this my heart settled down and thanked God that we got lucky this time.

So then we return to our dormitories and get going doing our stuff and searching for a new conquest to do.

But I didn't tell him about the nightmare but I need to tell him tomorrow in the morning so that we could work this out together as I cannot search it alone but with his help maybe something interesting would result in out of it. I started to write down everything I could recollect from the dream because dreams can be forgotten and if I forget, it will be difficult for us to find clues about something or anything.
