I am a student in 11th std,I am good at academics and my parents and teachers have many hope for my future,I am a nerd and silent and shy girl...who isn't much outgoing.....

so it all started when I went to a english medium school in 6th std

I was a student of a hindi medium school before so naturally wasn't good at english

I couldn't even read my text notebook's simplest line let alone leave speak the English sentences

it was embarrassing for me so I took help of my elders I did cheating so no one makes out of me - I asked my senior to write me hindi pronunciations down to each word so I can read the textbook the other day with ease in front of whole class

my turn came teacher said-

get up claire and read the text where your fellow student just stopped (stern voice )

class keep eye on her as she is reading,I am coming in a while

i started reading and to all surprise I was reading almost all correct ....so to check they all came to me and tried to take my book I shouted please don't but they were admant

eventually I was found and they all laughed on me saying me dumb,cheater,liar and told to teacher when he came

what??if you can't read why do cheating? 😡

I was hurt deeply by his word,then I was determined to learn english but it was difficult and my studies went down...no one helped me when I asked them but only asked me to do their work

I brought them choclates they asked,did their work,gave them my favourite pencil box when they asked me to do but still they didn't

I stopped approaching them and became lonely when their came a turning point

i didn't understand a word he said except the name x teacher,his accent was so good and I just pointed my finger to the teachers room

he was persistent,he came to me in my class and put the choclates on bench and softly said thanks and then went back

I felt good after coming first time in that school......the next day in assembly he was asked to give speech it was in english and I didn't get except the two word-good morning and thanks 😧

I was afraid he would ask me anymore and my English will disappoint him

after some days it was mine turn to read in front of assembly although I practiced alot I messed up and whole school burst in laughter

my face was red and tears came out but only sam wasn't laughing he came to me after assmebly
