Chapter 4

The adrenaline floods my system like it's on an intravenous drip - right into my blood at full pelt. I think my heart will explode and my eyes are wide. My body wants to either run fast back to the party or work to find some weaponry to defend itself, but instead I stay right where I am. Sometimes freezing is the best of the choices, and let's face it. I want to quell the hammering in my chest, but there's no way that will happen how.

The echoing sound of footsteps stopped Infront of me.

I can't gather the courage to look up..... I can't.

I tightly shut my eyes with my head down already accepting my coming death.

"Who are you?" - his deep voice breaks the silence.

What!

I slowly shift my horrified gaze from his feet to his eyes that were boring holes in my body.

He was standing there leisurely with his hands stuffed in the pocket of his jeans.

"Shit!" - he mutters taking one step backwards.

This is the time Anna!

What do I do? Taking the advantage I bolt out of there before he could catch me.

I cannot describe the way my heart is beating. Running away was the only thing I could think of at that time. Was it really Ace Greyson or a figment of my insane imagination? No, it was real.

Ace Greyson works for a gang!!

These thoughts were creating a havoc on my senses and I was startled when a hand dropped on my shoulder and I yelled loudly turning around, I meet brown warm eyes of Noah!

"Anna! Relax it's just me" - he chuckles. I can see that and I've never been this pleased to see him.

"I waited for you...."- I try explaining him.

"Yes! I tried finding you when I didn't see you near the car" - Noah furrowed his brows.

I worried them, didn't I?

"I'm sorry" - I whisper looking down.

"It's fine. Come on let's go" - he grabbed my hand taking me towards the parking lot.

I glanced behind me and caught the sight of a frustrated and angry Ace looking around the area with his men's, obviously searching for me. I could feel my eyes fall out of their sockets any minutes with the way they were dilating right now. I have to hurry before he finds me I push Noah forward quickly.

We made it to the parking lot where others were waiting for us. Raven was by the side of the car, puking her stomach out. Fabia was patting her back while holding her hair away from her face.

"Where were you? You got us all worried"- Fabia gave me a concerned look and grimaced when Raven heaved out another round of puke.

"I got lost" - I can't actually tell them what happened -"what happened to her?" - I ask as I help her.

"Lots of shots" - Fabia replies.

"Can we just leave her here?" - Fabia said jokingly.

"Wish we could" - I said laughing.

"We gotta get her home, let's go" - Noah announces as he gets into the driver's seat.

"I'm so tired" - Fabia sighs and gets in the passenger seat.

"**** you guys" - Raven groans as me and her get into the backseat.

"See I told you, we can still throw her out" - Fabia spoke now completely done with Raven.

Noah and I chuckle.

Noah backed out of the parking lot and I watch the surrounding as we moved away from the party.

Everyone was tired and Raven was sick. Should I ask Noah! Maybe he knows something about Ace or maybe I shouldn't.

Noah dropped me home after dropping everyone. I was his last stop apparently.

"Good night!" - He smiles and I get out of his car.

"Good night" - I smile and walk along the driveway to my house as Noah's car drives away.

The moment I step inside my house, the thoughts of Ace Greyson creeps in. Was it just me who didn't know about it? But that's not possible. Moreover, he murdered someone in front of my eyes! Maybe it's just me who knows about this now?

Oh! God! My head's hurting with all these overbearing thoughts.

It isn't even my business but the curiosity was getting the upper hand here. how am I gonna face him tomorrow! Shit!!!
