The Dragon Force with Destiny

“I can’t believe that few days have already passed since the dragon rampage.” I told to my black dragon.

“Hey can’t you give me a name?”

“What should I even call you? I don’t even know your gender?”

“I am a girl, my goal for the life is to go along with the flow of the world.”

“Did you hurt your head? Destiny leads to nowhere.” “I like the name.”

“What?”

“Destiny.”

“Are you kidding?” “No.”

“If your mother would be alive she would have eaten me raw for this name.”

“But she isn’t”

“Frey, whom are you talking too?” mother asked. “Nobody.”

“Come fast we have to go to the auction house.” “Wait for five minutes.”

“Destiny is it? Fine but go back to the dog form. Don’t know how I even got permission to keep you.”

“Your fault for bringing me home.”

After an hour we reached the auction house where all the treasures of the world were auctioned. Uncle took me to the magic division. He showed many swords but none were of my type as I had no nature. Then they showed me a glove with three crystals embedded on it. That glove was made for people like me or people who did not have magic.

The crystals could store magic of other people and when crushed we can use that magic for once. The crystal would regenerate on its own by using mana of the surrounding. To use it again we need to store other’s mana in it again. Whoever made it was a genius.

When uncle tried to show me an armor I saw a wooden stick that was supposed to be a garbage. Uncle said that it was a useless wooden sword. When I picked it up I felt a huge surge of power around me. The wooden sword slowly changed it’s form, and the wooden sword turned into a black steel sword with a grip that suited me the most.

“Th-tha-that was a garbage when I checked it.” “Uncle can you tell me who gave this for auctioning.”

“It cannot be opened to people as it is a private info but it is here from many decades.”

“It is a sword with a mind of its own. It chose who it will count as its master.” Destiny said.

“Nice.”

“You learnt to appreciate your surrounding, nice going.” Destiny smirked.

“Uncle, these two equipments will be enough for me.”

“Fine. Let’s go to the VIP rooms.”

The VIP room was too good. We were offered cake and juices.

“Mr.Simon we have a problem. The president and his family is here and all VIP rooms are full.” A man cam rushing in the VIP room.

“Frey will it be fine for you-“

“Uncle I have no problem with them.”

“Thank you. Bring them in this VIP room.”

“The president huh, it is an opportunity to make friends with him.” Destiny said.

“What is the meaning of this Simon?” a young man in his forties shouted.

He was with his wife, the vice- president, a son and two daughters and few bodyguards.

“Mr.President, it is not my fault that you came late. It is good atleast we shared our spot with you.”

“Yeah, so what?” a daughter of the president said.

The son was cool enough and was not arrogant, the first daughter was as quiet as someone who has no emotion, while second daughter was talkative person with arrogance.

The son and first daughter were the same age as me while the third daughter was two years younger.

“May I sit beside you?” the son asked me.

“No need for formalities, but how may I address you?”

“My name is Arthur.”

“You can sit wherever you like. My family has already made space for yours.”

“How arrogant of you?” the second daughter asked.

I turned around from the sofa and said “Life is full of disappointments and I just add you to the list.”

“How dare y-“

“Sorry for my daughter” the president apologized.

They took the seat and waited for the auction to start.

“What is your name?” Arthur asked me. “Frey is my name.”

“Frey can I see your bond?” the vice-president asked interrupting our talks.

“Sure.”

“Thanks” he said and took destiny for look.

The auction started and one after another many priceless items came up. Then they auctioned the glove that I wanted, It started the bidding at 50 silver coins.

“Uncle how much is a silver coin worth?” I asked.

“Magical items have different worth. 1 bronze coin=10000 dollars

1 silver coin=1000000 dollars

1 gold coin= 100000000 dollars”

“Isn’t it daylight robbery?”

“It is the reason why magic blacksmith are rare but earn the most amount of money.” Arthur explained.

“50 silver”

“55 silver”

“70 silver” everybody started to bid.

“1 gold” Arthur bid.

“Against the president we won’t be able to bid.” Uncle whispered to me.

“Leave it, we won’t bid, but I need the sword at any cost.”

“Ok.”

After a while the sword came up for 5 bronze.

“Maybe nobody knows its worth” I whispered to uncle. “1 silver” someone from the crowd bid.

“uncle” I said.

He nodded and bid for 5 silver

“15 silver”

“25 silver”

“40 silver”

“1 gold” Arthur bid again.

“We cannot do it again.” Uncle whispered.

“Maybe luck is not our side.” I sighed.

We waited for anything interesting but we couldn’t find a substitute for those things. At last they came with a baby lightning tiger for somebody for a bond. They said it was a rank 7 beast when it completely grows.

“5 gold” Arthur bid.

The auction was over with this last bid. We stood up to leave but before we could Arthur called me with him to go somewhere. I asked my parents to go home I would come on my own.

Arthur took me to the items and gave me the glove and the wooden sword.

“But you payed 2 gold coins for it how can I accept these?”

“Yes, it is true. Why buy it for this country bumpkin?” the second daughter started to blabber.

“It is not for free.” “What do you mean?”

“I want to be friends with you and want to know why take a wooden stick. You wanted the wooden stick more than the glove.”

“We are already friends but the reason I want the sword is not something that I can tell, but let me show you.”

“fine by me.”

“Hold the sword.”

Arthur picked the sword but the sword had no change. “Now give it to me.”

He threw the sword and I caught the blade part but nothing changed, but when I grabbed the hilt of the sword it turned into the black blade with comfortable grip.

“Now I believe that it was worth being your friend, Frey”

“Believe me the feeling is mutual.”

“Lets meet sometime else, bye”

“Bye and a very happy birthday.” I wished.

“interesting” he was amused.

“Destiny, where are you?”

“H-help me master, I am in the VIP room.” Destiny stammered.

I rushed towards the VIP room and found that the vice-president was trying to kidnap destiny.

“Mr.vice president please release it, it belongs to me.” “Not for long, I have my eyes on it so it is mine.” “Please refrain from trash talk.”

“Who are you to tell me that, you dork.”

For a second I lost my cool and let my anger take over me. Suddenly the pressure in the entire auction house was shot up and everybody fell on there knees.

“Oh shit.” I whispered and took destiny and headed towards the exit lowering my head.

The President ordered the guards to block all exits as he suspected that there was a terrorist in the auction house. He asked everybody for a check.

The vice president came up and said something in presidents ears and presidents eyes lit up.

“Hey kid your name is Frey right?” “yeah sure, why?”

“Name a price for your beast.” “Sorry but not interested.”

“I can pay you 100 gold coins at most.”

“Sir as I said before, I have no interest.” And gave a glare of anger. “Kid I will offer the lightning beast too for that beast.”

“I am not going to repeat myself again.”

Soon a guard armed with a gun shot at me with the signal of the vice president but for some reason my sword went violent and I touched its grip and it turned to black blade and moved on its own in which the bullet was slashed in two. My anger knew no bounds and I unleashed dragon force stage 1. The time was frozen and I lashed both the hands and legs of the vice president. Then I collapsed for draining too much power.

“Frey, how many times will you make me heal yourself?”

“Mother why am I here?”

“Your uncle brought you back from the auction house, he saw the guard shooting you before you collapsed. But nobody knows what happened to the vice president. The vice president is blaming you, what a joke. The president is going to repay for their actions by giving you 5 gold coins. Your father is arguing with the envoy who is in the living room.”

“Wow how much time was I asleep?”

“A week. Even after the nuclear incident you needed 1 hour of my treatment but this time it was for a week and I am tired.” She felt asleep in a moment.

“Destiny?”

“Yes master.”

“Why do I feel weak.”

“I am not sure but I can feel that you are losing a lot of mana from your body. Maybe your mana core is broken.”

“Mana core?”

“Yes, it is a place in your heart where your mana is stored. It is formed only by fortunate people. Now yours is broken so you can not use mana for long. You will only able to convert your sword onto black blade once or twice at max.”

“What even to make my sword in its best condition. How will I become an official member of the adventurer guild.”

“Don’t worry master, the wooden sword that you used helped you learn the best sword style ever created. Now even if you use a normal sword, you can use the sword effortlessly.”

“Really?”

“Why would I lie to you master.”

“Thanks, Lets go down and stop father from argueing with the envoy.”

“Ok, master.”

I replaced mother on the bed and went to the living room to meet father. Father stood up and hugged me tightly as soon as came down.

“You may leave.” I said to the envoy.

He left a bag which had fifteen gold coins as compensation.

“Dad I am fine, but where is uncle?”

“He went to auction house to find something called the golden lotus.”

“Golden lotus?”

“I don’t know what it is entirely but one of its effect is to improve the mana core bit by bit. Maybe it can cure your mana core.” Destiny said.

“Dad I want a new sword so I am going to the auction house.”

“Fine by me as your wooden sword is of no worth.”

“Dad my sword is more precious than my life. Don’t throw it away.” “Fine, I understand.”

“Bye dad, I am taking Destiny with me.”

I took a cab and went to the auction house. It took me a little time to reach uncle with my tiny feet.

“Uncle, I want to ask you something?” “Yeah ask me.”

“Who are you?”

“What do you mean?”

“You are not a human, nor are you an elf nor a dwarf nor a demon, but you still know a lot about illness related to the new times.”

“On what basis are you asking me this?”

“The golden lotus. Isn’t it something nobody knows about. Your dragon is too much talkative.”

“Point two, how do you know that my dog is actually a dragon? Aren’t you the talkative one?”

“err that was an insult wasn’t it kid?”

“the biggest one that you knew that I was blind when I told nobody about it and even my mother could not figure it out.”

“You caught me but I might tell you that you are not always blind.” “Yeah you mean by my powers of mana manupilation isn’t it?”

“You are wrong. Don’t you remember anything about your dragon force transformation?”

“Wait, during my dragon force transformation?”

“Oh right you directly went to the first stage without practicing the transformation which caused your mana core to break.”

“Ok now who are you?”

“People call me many things like king of beasts. That’s how I can even hear your conversation with the dragon.”

“How are you hear your majesty.” Destiny spoke with sweat dripping down.

“No need for formalities. You are going to grow into a stage 2 beast second to me. When you reach that stage you will inherit my position, how about it?”

“Thank you your majesty.” “Is it ok if I call you uncle.”

“I am more than happy for it. I was your mother’s bond before I loved my wife. Leaving your mother’s side was the biggest mistake in my life. I made you all suffer.”

“Actually because of you my father’s business was stable, I am more than happy to forgive you.”

“Thank you. Now I am trying to find the golden lotus.” Till now nobody was able to find it but I can say that it is in the land of humans.”

“huhhhhhhhhh, land of humans?”

“Oh right there are different lands for different species.” “Oh do you mean by dwarves, elves and demons?”

“Yes but there are many species in these types like in dwarf we can call half bloods who are dwarf and human or similar specie, elves have another specie called dark elves and demons who are like me beasts who are strongest kind of demons.”

“So what are there positioning?”

He brought the map of world and showed the land. The north was in possession of demons, humans have south and west while dwarfs have east.

“What about the elves?” “Nobody knows where they live.”

“Ok its fine, but I need a sword which can be used against a beast of level 5 at least.”

“Easily, you can have my sword.” He gave me a sword. “This, is this a magic sword?”

“No it is a normal steel sword fed by my blood. No demon of level 5 or below can harm you.”

“Thank you, uncle.”

“Yeah now go to the adventurer’s guild for registration.”

“Bye.”

“Wait. I will help you with your disguise.”

He placed his hand on my shoulder and my body started to brim with energy and my eyes were cured.

“Uncle this.”

“I made you go in the dragon force transformation.” “How long will it last?”

“It depends on you. When you want to come in your normal form you will be in your normal form, but I advise you to never come in your normal body until you are coming home. I have given you energy as much as that you can turn into this form once again after becoming a normal human once.”

“Thank you again.”

“Won’t you look at yourself in mirror before leaving?”

“I saw myself, aside from my powers only my hair has changed. From blue it turned into silver.”

“Kid I underestimated your heightened skills once again, sorry.” He smirked.
