Countering the demon forces

A year and half passed under the Elf king and it was soon going to be time to resume my journey to find the Golden Lotus. I knew that if I would try to go during day Emily would never allow me to go and so did the king, so the king made preparation for my departure at midnight.

I still had power given by Simon to go in the transformation form once but before using it I needed to go home as I was home sick. In my normal form I had grown as strong as my transformation form but I wonder how strong will I become when I go in the transformation form.

It took me no longer than a day to reach home. A year ago I told Destiny to hunt for his living and grow on his own and come back when he was strong enough to take my back. Since I have never heard from her. When I was home I felt like I had missed many things because I saw aunt being scold to an extent that she started to cry.

“Mom, Dad I am home.”

They came started to hug me while crying. “What’s the matter mother?”

“Uncle had bought a magical equipment that could help a person form a mana crystal but aunt hampered it and it effected their daughter and your sister. Even I can’t cure them.” She started to cry again.

I could barely see because of my blindness but I could feel where they were. I felt their mana inside the core were going turbulent and could kill them if there mana core completely shatters. I was lucky that my mana core did not shatter or I might not be able to save them.

I extracted the turbulent mana from them and released it in the sky but something still felt off. Anne seemed fine but Cassy still had a bit of turbulent mana that even I could not extract. It was as if it was inborn but I never felt presence of mana from her when she was near me. Maybe it is because she has two element that fuse together to make a stronger element. It needs to be suppressed or she might die in a year or two.

“The only hope of her survival is the Golden Lotus isn’t it?” I asked uncle while crying.

“Yeah but the turbulent mana will irrupt once a month for two years and then she will die.”

“I am leaving.”

“Wait. Some girl called Rin has sent you a letter about something.” “Rin?”

“You don’t know her?”

“Maybe I will get it after reading the letter.”

“Here” he gave me the letter.

I tore the letter open and started to read and then I realized the tracker girl was Rin that I never had asked her name before. She said that she will take half a year to find it.

“She is the tracker I took help for finding golden Lotus. She says that it will take half year to find.”

“It will be good it won’t take much time.”

“I am going out for a quest to take my mind off and uncle I suggest you to never use that machine again.”

I went to the guild to find another suitable job but I met Ahjeel about it and he told that it was the government that made it by enslaving few best dwarves.

“How do you know this?”

“Oh, I did not properly introduce myself. I am a half dwarf prince from the kingdom of Dwarf to find and save my fellow brother while being an under cover.”

“Why say that to me?

“Because I know that you are good and you will never betray a friend.”

“Thanks for the trust but remember never trust anybody this much because the devil was once an angel.”

“Thanks for the advice, now I will take my leave.”

Then I started to look for a job and saw that there was a fox which had attacked a village nearby and needed someone strong to kill the demon fox. In its description it was written that only girls should take the quest as the fox had ability to lure males to go after her like manipulation of mind and then it devours them.

I didn’t care even if it has something to do with manipulation of males because I have to see how strong is my mind. Luckily I had my glove this

time which I used to store my mother’s power of healing. The villagers offered only 5 bronze but the effort was as much as a gold coin as it was a stage 3 beast.

I left with my two swords. I was far away from the city but still I could hear people in the guild speaking about how mad I was. The villagers offered everything they could but still they were looked down upon. I would do anything to save people like those.

I reached the village but I felt some fluctuations in mana as if someone from the village had mana as strong as silver stage 3 but the nature I could not feel it. It was not one of the normal elemental nature. It is one of the deadliest mana I was sensing.

Instead of going inside the village I went for the hunt and found the fox with the help of bloody scent. When I reached near the fox I somehow felt that my sister was there and she grew into a beautiful woman in the future and was going to be the strongest person in the world but before I could go near her the dragon force acted and scared the fox making the illusion.

I was just about to kill it I realized that it did not move from its place to kill its target and the reason was because it had baby which was just about to be born. It killed people from the village so she could nurture is offspring.

I made it forcefully flee and I was sure that it would hold a grudge for making her time miserable but I should help the villagers too. It was evening and it would take an hour or two to reach home so I decided to stay in the village for a night.

There I noticed that many people were ill and if my guess was right it came from the poisonous mana from a kid who was two years older than me. He was suffering because he needed to some sort of poison to

keep his mana from leaking out. To avoid making him drink a poison for decade it would be best to make him drink the strongest poison.

“When was the last time you drank a poison?” I asked him. “H-how did you know I have this disease?”

“Time?”

“Two years.” He coughed blood.

“Let me make you a poison that can suppress your mana from leaking.”

“I drank the poison of the most poisonous snake but it only effected for two years.”

“Don’t you know the strongest poison is made by humans by adding two medicines of exact opposite effects.”

“How will you find them?”

“I have one, the crystal mana that contains power to heal external harm. Here in front of you house is a plant that helps in internal wounds and gives cooling effect in your body. Mana healing will give you warmth.”

I made the perfect poison that could suppress his mana from leaking for a decade. He was going to die because the same poison cannot work twice. After a decade not even I can save him, but it would be better if I don’t tell him that.

“Scent of blood?” I shouted and ran outside.

A man was floating in the air and his hand dripped blood.

“You smell delicious.” He pointed towards me. “Try me if you dare.”

He dived and within seconds it reached near my face. The wooden sword helped me again and I could block him but the impact made my hand go numb. It was something that not even that dark elf was able to do. This person was going to be threat for everybody in the near future so I need to exterminate him.

He was trying to find an opening by making distance between us. To travel fast and kill him in one shot, it was not something that I can do. I need to remember who had this type of power who could easily kill a person in one shot. Sorry guild master but I am taking your skill to an extreme level.

He took a breath before turning his mana into lightning. I followed his step and stored it into my lungs as long as I could and tried to release my mana and use manipulation of mana to change the nature of it. The moment I opened my eyes and let the air out my whole body was covered with lightning.

But it hurt me more than I could control. So this is the price guild master has to pay for the power. I need to complete it as fast I can. I took a giant leap and reached beside that annoying pest and drew my blade and clanged the blade with his neck. Wait why was there a clang?

My hands were completely numb and I could barely move my right hand. The blade? Why is the sword light? The sword was crushed in pieces. Only the hilt with a small part of the blade was left.

“The black blade got crushed? It’s impossible to win against such demon. Wait if he truly is a demon then only one thing can defeat him. I need to kill him using dragon force without going into transformation or I will lose my chance to achieve the lotus.” I mumbled.

“Dragon force stage 1 limit break Complete blackout.”

The entire place became black and time froze and the weakest part of the demon was visible to me. I rushed at it while it freed his hand and used hi blood to use as weapons and shoot it. I parried each and every blood bullets and crossed my blades along with him using dragon’s mana instead of mine.

The sword became hot for some reason but I could not leave it to defend myself. I swung my sword and a dragon of fire appeared from my blade and slashed of his hand from which he avoided the fatal attack and lost his hand. The dragon spiraled around me. It was too hot for me and I collapsed from the heat stroke.

The demon escaped as fast as he could. While the kid used the crystal I had attached to my gloves to heal me. I stood in matter of few minutes and left the place without any explanation. On going back to the city I saw a body. It was a magician but his mana core was removed from his body. If mana core is destroyed or is forcefully removed then the owner of it will die a horrible death.

I took his body and returned to the guild. Instead of waiting at the counter to report about my job I kicked open guild master’s cabin and placed the body on his desk.

“What is the meaning of this?” he stood up while he was having a meeting with the vice guild master and the officials of the main branch.

“Sorry for the disturbance but look at him.” “His mana core is missing, so?”

“I fought someone today that I could not kill but I injured him. I suppose it was a demon because it could even be harmless with your thunderclap attach with extra mana provided.”

“My attack? Who used it?”

“I cannot say that but it was stronger than yours but it couldn’t even put a scratch on it.”

He closed the door and asked me to join the meeting because the officials from the main branch were here to report on increase in activeness in the demon land.

“The demons first appeared before 25 years.”

“Wait when did the people start to get powers?” I asked

“The same time as the demons but the demons were not as frequent as they are now. Seven years ago we allowed people with powers to live in harmony.”

“Seven years? It means the time when I was born!” “Wait you are seven years old?” everybody stood up. “Sorry I was meant to keep it a secret.”

“Now we understand why you want to cover your face.”

“It is not important. When I was 5 that rule of peace was made.”

“Wait, did you live in a magic undetectable house reinforced with mana barriers?”

“Yeah.” I replied.

“Five years in this place is equal to year where you lived.” “What about dwarfs and elves?”

“They are from thousands of years but nobody knows how.” “Ok continue the demon topic.”

“Yeah, the demons have become smart and can transform into human bodies that can not be differentiated by ant methods unless the demons fell blood lust and goes out to become stronger by eating mana cores.”

“That makes them strong then they will attack many people with mana and mostly it will be where they group up together. Most likely they will attack the magic schools. In humans empire there 5 magic schools and I suppose they are the only way that we can catch the demons.”

“Let’s call them demonoid as the can copy human shape.”

The meeting went for an hour and we exchanged many crucial details. They made a plan to take on the demons once the war broke out but we were all weak and we were less in quantity. The next goal for everybody was about to train our less quantities in best warriors.

I had my own plans. I tried to fix a meeting with the president but he jumped out of the political race out of the blue. I asked Arthur about it.

but he had no idea about it too. He said maybe his father was in depression. It did not fit with his personality but I asked who was handling the human empire now. He for some reason became embarrassed and said that he was doing all the work.

“Perfect.”

“What do you mean? It is a headache to control this entire place alone.”

“You need some help?”

“We both are seven years old and not so good in handling things”

“I suggest that we should form a peace alliance with the dwarves and elves.”

“How can I make such a big decision without consulting my father?” “You can take the things slowly and smoothly”

“Don’t know how but my sister predicted what you were about to say and told me agree with you.”

“Your sister? The blabbermouth?”

“No, the stone hearted.”

“Wait was she angry after she told you what I was going to tell you?”

“Yes, but I don’t know why.”

“Idiot, if she can speak what will happen in future she heard you calling her stone-hearted.”

“Crap I have to go.”

“Yeah apologize to her thousand times if you have to.” “First step is over, now let’s proceed to step two.”

I wore a similar anorak as the demon I fought and made a jail break for the dwarves who were forced to do labour work to make mana collecting machine which had a fatal flaw. I destroyed the entire factory and took them to Ahjeel.

“Leave this place for now and once I call you, come with your king for a peace treaty. All responsibility is on me.”

Ahjeel left the human empire along with his kinsmen.

Third step begins once Emily becomes extremely sad and sends the king to bring me to their kingdom for few months. I am waiting, any second now. Here it comes.

“Hey human kid, there is an invitation from the elf king.”

“On one condition.”

“What condition?” the elf king spoke with telepathy.

“Nothing just make a peace Treaty with the human empire and dwarves.”

“Fine”

Fifth step and the killer move. I left a letter for Rin. It would taka a day for her to open it and till that I would be missing for this world this world.

The next day the whole human empire was in a chaos when the body from the secret confinement of the adventurer’s guild disappeared and was hung on the most reputable place of all the auction house which may have pissed uncle but I had to do it.

The rumor went viral that the demons were going to declare war with human in this decade if not now. That gave many ideas of unity with dwarves and the elves. This incident made me realize who was the demon who tried to kill me but now it was not the proper time to expose him because he was going to be a big stepping stone for the team I am going to build.

The President came out of the depression when he heard about the treaty and he could not do anything to revert everything if he wanted to insure his position and survive the demon raid. He would not want to make enemies of people who could be friends.

To give a push I even mentioned Rin to do a small favor in which she had to expose someone’s death. Once that body came forward the whole government including Arthur was traumatized. It was the body of the blabbermouth daughter. Her had was chopped off and her mana core was missing and this made Arthur swear to exterminate demons.

When a person is in pressure it shows his true colors. He was the smartest person I had ever made. Yeah made, he would never show his intelligence unless he has an aim. He came up with points that benefited the whole world excluding the demons. The treaty was signed by the three kingdoms and many elves and dwarves started to go to the five magic academies of human empire.

Adventurer’s guild expanded to the other empires. Currency of human empire became the usual practice in those countries. Dwarves started to make weapons for both kingdoms. Elves were more efficient in theory of magic and became theory teachers in the academies.

This is the ultimate army which demons will not try to harm from outer shell or they will be completely exterminated. It might take an entire decade for them to make any moves from outside. The demons in the kingdoms can do more harm but they won’t do anything till the treaty is still active. I would
