Episode 11

The elevator clicked open and she drifted out of her thoughts staring at the brown headed figure. It was then it dawned on her-

Austin!

The man smirked and walked into the elevator to join her to the 13th floor.

"What are you doing here?" She gaped at him in surprise.

"I came to see Daniel on a project discussion. You shouldn't be so surprised to see me because I will be coming here umpteen times more." He smiled genuinely at her and she nodded.

"What happened? You look worried."

"Why shouldn't I be Austin?" She rather replied.

Then he took a guess, "Did you two have a fight?"

"Huh, what?" She was driven out of trance again.

"Did you two fight?" He asked again despite her inattentiveness and she nodded in reply.

"He doesn't even want to talk about it." She continued.

"You know, you can tell me what happened and maybe I can talk some sense into him."

"Nick came to see me Austin. He kept yelling my name- "

"And you went to him." Austin finished for her and she nodded in affirmation.

"I went to him to tell him not to bother me anymore, I broke him Austin, you should have seen his face but I still did it."

"And why is that?" Austin pressured. She didn't know what he was trying to do but she did think of why she did what she did.

"Maybe because I don't want people talking Ill about the family and of course considering his mother doesn't like me. I don't know what she would do."

"Is it just that?" He questioned taking his eyes away from her leaving her to stare at him curiously.

"What do you mean by that?" This time he turned to stare at her with a knowing look.

Oh God!

Don't-

Don't tell me he knows -

She quickly looked away from his stare.

"I saw the two of you at the party Clarissa if it's one person to be observant, it's me." He told her.

"I don't know what you mean by that." Just about then the elevator clicked open and they walked out.

"Y'know for someone who is in love you don't do a good job at hiding it." Her breath hitched in her throat but she kept walking nevertheless thinking he would forget about it but he turned her to face him in a flash.

"Why don't you just tell him." He suggested.

"Tell him what?"

"Don't pull that trick on me Clarissa, I saw the way you looked at him at the anniversary, I saw the way you panicked when he got so close to you." He smiled and then continued. "You don't need to deny it because I Know already."

Her face went pale on his observation and she sighed silently in defeat.

"Since when did this happen?"

She looked away, "Since college okay, I don't know how it happened but it just happened and I can't do anything about it now." She said and he nodded in understanding.

"What would you do if you found out he likes you too?"

"Stop talking nonsense-"

"Austin?" She froze at the sound of his voice. Austin's attention went to him. "Hurry up the meeting is about to start." It was then she turned to him. He didn't even spare her a glance. Austin smiled apologetically at her but she was busy staring at him to even notice.

They walked away....

It was already Thursday and all Daniel could think about was her and that deal he made with Henry. Now, he couldn't get any work done even when he tried staying late and so, he finally decided to go home.

His face was with a frown and his eyes had bags of stress. When he clicked his fingers the light obeyed and turned on but something made him pause. His attention went to the figure that lay on the couch asleep. So they were back to this, he had really messed up. Maybe if she hadn't run to him he wouldn't have acted that way.

Austin was so bothered about her. He wondered what they were talking about before he interrupted because he could see her flushed cheeks.

His attention was at the both of them immediately they walked through the elevator. He didn't know how to react for goodness sake he couldn't keep ignoring her. He even left her to take Audora's ride to work.

Did she just fucking blush?!

'Stop talking nonsense-' then he interrupted.

He slowly took her in. Her blanket covered from her waist down to her legs but it still didn't stop him from noticing that the v-neck of her night dress was lower than her other ones. Her gown was light pink and almost see through. He involuntarily swallowed at her exposed cleavage but he looked away from her immediately he noticed his arising desire and went over to his dressing room to undress.
