Arrange Marriage With a...GUY!?
Run away
Kevin Melendez
What have you decided?
Calix Diaz
About what? My thesis?
Kevin Melendez
Who is talking about your thesis? You're a valedictorian, I know you will do well.
Calix Diaz
Sir asked *mumbles*
Kevin Melendez
Professor Romanov?
Kevin Melendez
Oh. *teasing*
Calix Diaz
*blushing* Shut up
Kevin suddenly came back to earth. This bastard almost changed the topic successfully.
Kevin Melendez
You fucker-
Kevin Melendez
Don't change the topic.
Calix Diaz
*face fell* When did you become so smart?
Kevin Melendez
Don't try to get me angry either. Tell me, what are you going to do now?
Calix let out a loud sigh and then smiled. He placed his head on the table and looked sideways at Kevin with that sweet smile that never seemed to reach his eyes.
Calix Diaz
What else? Get married.
Kevin felt powerless. He couldn't even help the one person he wanted to help.
Kevin Melendez
I...am sorry, Calix.
Calix Diaz
Hey! Why are you crying?
Kevin Melendez
*teary eyed* I am not crying. My eyes are sweating.
Calix Diaz
Alright. *wipes his tears*
Calix Diaz
If my husband turns out to be a bad guy, I will bite his dick off. Okay?
Kevin Melendez
Then, we will both run away.
Then, they both laughed because they couldn't cry. Kevin was an orphan. He had only barely managed to scrape together enough money through scholarships and part-time jobs to afford a studio apartment. How could he help Calix run away?
Kevin Melendez
Do you want me to drop you home on my baby?
His baby— his beloved bike that he had bought from prize money in a debate competition.
Calix Diaz
No. I will stay in the library for a while longer.
Calix Diaz
You and your baby can enjoy some quality time.
Kevin Melendez
You're the best *winks*
Calix picked up his messenger back and made his way to the library.
Since this was a famous college of fine arts, the library was open 24/7 for students and teachers alike.
Calix picked up a bunch of short story collections and sat down to read with a notebook in hand.
Everytime he came across a good writing style, he would take notes.
He also had his laptop open so he could search about any author he liked.
He enjoyed spending his time like this, it was better than going home.

When I was in school and things at home weren't...good? I would sign up for extra classes and competitions. 6 days out of 7, I would stay out till 8 at night and come back to study again on my table.
Author
Was it tiring? Yes. Did it make me feel better? Yes.
