Siya’s Small Victory!
“Mornings are always different for everyone.”
The next morning, Virat sat in his study, drowning in emails when Karan strolled in, smirking.
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
I heard something interesting. (Karan said, plopping into the chair across from him)
Virat Rathore (ML)
(Virat didn’t even look up)
Virat Rathore (ML)
Don’t have time for your nonsense, Karan.
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
Oh, but this is good. (Karan leaned forward)
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
Rumor has it, your wife spent the entire night taking care of your grandfather.
Virat tensed slightly but didn’t react.
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
(Karan grinned, watching him)
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
And.. get this.. Dadaji apparently adores her now. He told the servants she’s the only sensible person in this madhouse.
Virat Rathore (ML)
(Virat exhaled) Good for her.
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
(Karan’s grin widened)
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
That’s it? No snarky comment? No cold insult? (He whistled)
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
Wow. This is serious. 😱
Virat Rathore (ML)
Don’t be ridiculous. (Virat rolled his eyes)
Karan studied him for a long moment before shaking his head.
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
You know, it wouldn’t kill you to admit she’s not that bad.
Virat Rathore (ML)
Karan— ❄️ (Virat clenched his jaw)
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
I mean, sure, you treat her like she’s invisible, but even you’re noticing her now, aren’t you? (Karan smirked, enjoying every second of this)
Virat Rathore (ML)
DROP IT!! ❄️ (Virat shot him a glare)
Karan Malhotra (Virat’s Best Friend)
Alright, alright. But just so you know.. pretending she doesn’t exist won’t work forever. Sooner or later, you’ll have to acknowledge the fact that Siya isn’t going anywhere.
With that, he got up and strolled out, whistling.
Virat sighed, rubbing his temples.
He hated how Karan always saw through him.
Because the truth was.. he had noticed.
That evening, as Siya walked through the halls, she was stopped by a soft voice.
Ramachandra Rathore (Dadaji)
SIYA!!
She turned and found Dadaji standing by the staircase, leaning on his cane but looking healthier than he had in days.
Siya Mehta (FL)
(Siya rushed forward) Dadaji, you shouldn’t be walking alone. Do you need help?
Ramachandra Rathore (Dadaji)
(He chuckled) I’m not that weak, beta. But I did want to say something.
Siya waited, her heart warming at the gentle way he called her beta.
Ramachandra Rathore (Dadaji)
Thank you!! ☺️ (Dadaji said simply)
Ramachandra Rathore (Dadaji)
For taking care of me. For treating me like a person, not just an obligation.
Siya Mehta (FL)
(Siya blinked back sudden emotion)
Siya Mehta (FL)
You don’t have to thank me, Dadaji.
Ramachandra Rathore (Dadaji)
(He smiled knowingly)
Ramachandra Rathore (Dadaji)
I see the way this house treats you, child. But don’t let it break you. You are stronger than you think.
Siya Mehta (FL)
🥺🥺🥺 (Eyes got teary)
Siya felt her chest tighten.
Someone had finally seen her.
And that, in itself, was a victory.
That night, as Virat lay in bed, he found himself unable to sleep.
Siya’s voice, her presence, the way she had spoken to his grandfather.. it all replayed in his mind.
Ramachandra Rathore (Dadaji)
“You are stronger than you think.”
His grandfather had never said such words so freely before.
And yet, he had said them to Siya.
Virat exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair.
He didn’t want to think about her.
But somehow, she was already occupying space in his mind.
And for the first time… he wasn’t sure if he hated it.
