The Hunter & The Hunted
The penthouse was silent, the kind of silence that only came before death. Justin crouched in the shadows, gun steady in his hand, eyes locked on the man sitting comfortably in a leather chair—Kim V, the infamous mafia kingpin.
The mission was simple. One bullet. One dead king.
His earpiece crackled. "Are you in position?"
Justin
Justin exhaled. "Obviously."
Lee jin
A familiar voice scoffed. "Then hurry up and take the shot before he gets bored and kills you first."
Justin
Justin smirked slightly. "Appreciate the confidence, Jin hyung"
Lee jin
"Appreciate it after you get out alive."
Justin rolled his eyes and steadied his aim. One shot. Done.
The unmistakable press of a gun against the back of his head.
Justin froze.
kim v
"Tsk, tsk." A low, amused voice. "You should know better than to try and kill me in my own home."
Justin didn’t hesitate. He spun, knocking the gun aside, raising his own—only to find himself face-to-face with Kim V, who looked infuriatingly amused instead of threatened.
kim v
Fast," Kim V mused, tilting his head. "I like that."
Justin
Justin scowled. "You’re enjoying this."
kim v
V smirked. "Should I not be? You went through all this trouble to meet me, after all."
kim v
Justin barely had time to react before V moved—disarming him in a blink, pressing his own gun to Justin’s chest.
Before Justin could answer—
A gunshot shattered the tension.
Lee jin
"Oh, for the love of—" Jin’s voice exploded in Justin’s earpiece.
Lee jin
Justin, did you seriously just let him disarm you?! You had one job!"
kim v
V raised a brow, clearly entertained. "Friend of yours?"
Justin
Justin clenched his jaw. "Not for much longer."
kim v
V chuckled, pressing the gun just a little harder against Justin’s chest. "Shame. I was starting to enjoy our little moment."
Justin
Justin glared. "I’ll kill you."
kim v
V’s smirk deepened. "You can try, sweetheart."
