Dangerous Deals
The car sped through the dark city streets, the low hum of the engine filling the tense silence.
Jungkook sat stiffly in the backseat, arms crossed, his eyes locked onto V like a predator waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
V, on the other hand, looked completely relaxed, legs spread slightly, head tilted toward the window. As if he hadn’t just survived an ambush. As if Jungkook wasn’t sitting right there, ready to kill him at any given moment.
Jimin sighed dramatically from the driver’s seat.
jimin
"So," he drawled, glancing at Jungkook in the rearview mirror. "Are we just gonna ignore the fact that you were trying to kill him an hour ago?"
Justin
Jungkook clenched his jaw. "Still considering it."
kim v
V smirked. "I’d prefer if you didn’t. This suit is expensive."
Jungkook’s fingers twitched against his thigh. The urge to punch him was growing.
Justin
"Let’s cut the bullshit," he snapped. "You said you have answers about my parents. Talk."
kim v
V turned to him slowly, his smirk fading just slightly. "I said I have answers, yes. But I never said I’d give them to you for free."
Justin
Jungkook’s blood ran cold. There it is. The catch.
Justin
"What do you want?"
kim v
V leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, his gaze sharp and unreadable.
Justin
Jungkook scoffed. "Not a chance."
kim v
V hummed, as if he expected that response. "Then you’ll never learn the truth."
Jungkook’s hands curled into fists. His entire life, he’d been searching for answers. About the night his parents died. About the men responsible.
And now, the devil himself was offering them on a silver platter—at a price.
Jimin glanced between them, sensing the rising tension.
jimin
"Look, as fun as this pissing contest is, we should probably get somewhere safe before Yoongi’s men track us."
kim v
V didn’t break eye contact with Jungkook. "I agree. But first, we need to drop off our guest."
Justin
Jungkook narrowed his eyes. "Guest?"
Jimin sighed, already pulling into an abandoned parking lot.
And then Jungkook saw him.
Jin.
He was standing by another car, arms crossed, face set in a deep frown. The moment Jungkook stepped out, Jin stormed toward him.
Lee jin
Are you out of your mind?!" Jin hissed, gripping Jungkook’s arm. "I told you to get out of there, not run off with Kim Taehyung!"
Justin
Jungkook exhaled sharply. "I had no choice."
Lee jin
There’s always a choice!" Jin’s eyes flickered to V, who was watching with mild amusement. "And you—stay the hell away from him."
kim v
V raised his hands in mock surrender. "I’m afraid that’s up to him now."
Lee jin
Jin’s grip tightened. "Don’t do this, Jungkook. Whatever deal he’s offering—it’s not worth it."
Jungkook hesitated. He wanted to believe Jin.
But deep down, he knew he’d never walk away from this without knowing the truth.
Slowly, he pulled his arm free.
Lee jin
Jin’s face fell. "And you think he’s the one to trust?"
Jungkook glanced at V, who was watching him like a man waiting for his prey to step into the trap.
No. He didn’t trust him. But he had no other option.
Justin
Jungkook met V’s gaze. "Fine. I’ll work for you."
kim v
V’s smirk returned—slow, satisfied, and dangerous.
kim v
"Good choice, sweetheart."
