[She needs to get to him. Now.]
[As the carriage halts before the Beaumont Estate, Evelyn throws the door open and strides toward the entrance. The servants bow, sensing the tension radiating from their mistress.]

[ doesn’t stop. She rushes up the grand staircase, her heels clicking sharply against the polished floor, until she reaches Lucian’s bedroom.]

(calmly): “Who was calling you?”

[small hands grip the window frame. His shoulders are tense. His usual soft, childish tone is missing, replaced by something detached.]

"Choose."

[ kneels down in front of him, carefully placing her hands on his small shoulders. She forces herself to stay calm, even as a storm rages inside her.]

(gently): “Listen to me, Lucian.”

[He blinks, as if waking from a trance. His fingers tremble slightly.]

“You don’t have to listen to them. You are my son. And no one—not even these voices—can decide your fate but you.”

[lips press together. For a moment, he looks… lost.]

(quietly): “But… what if I choose wrong?”

[tightens her hold on him, her purple eyes fierce.]

“Then I will fight the whole world to bring you back.”

[ breath hitches. His small fingers grasp onto the fabric of her dress, subsiding just slightly. He buries his face into her shoulder.]

His trembling

(softly): “I don’t want to be a monster, Mother.”

[ heart aches. She presses a gentle kiss to his dark hair, holding him close.]

(whispering): “Then you never will be.”

[But deep down, she knows—this is only the beginning.]
