[Evelyn turns slowly, meeting Adrian’s sharp silver gaze. Lucian tenses, clutching her hand tightly.]

[Evelyn kneels down, smoothing his hair gently.]

[Lucian hesitates, looking between his parents. Adrian watches him with an unreadable expression. After a moment, Lucian nods reluctantly and leaves with a butler.]
[As soon as the boy disappears, Adrian steps forward.]

(darkly): “Enough of this act, Evelyn.”

[Evelyn raises an eyebrow, amused.]

[Adrian’s jaw clenches. He steps closer, his tall figure looming over her.]

[Evelyn sighs, placing a hand on her hip.]

[Adrian is silent for a moment, watching her closely. Evelyn meets his gaze without flinching.]

[smirks slightly, though his gaze remains calculating.]

“Come to the palace tomorrow.”

“And do what exactly?”

“Show them that you truly care for Lucian.”

[watches her with an unreadable expression as she turns and walks away.]
[Behind him, Sir Cedric Langston, his loyal knight, steps forward.]

(quietly): “Your Grace… do you think she’s telling the truth?”

[watches Evelyn disappear into the hall before muttering darkly.]
