After meeting with lord Cedric Beaumont

Evelyn return to Night shade estate.

[The mansion is quiet, save for the rhythmic ticking of a grand clock in the hallway. The servants have long retired, and the corridors are bathed in the soft glow of moonlight filtering through the windows.]

[Evelyn steps into her private chambers, her mind still tangled with thoughts of Cedric’s proposal. But before she can dwell on it further, a faint sound reaches her ears—a whimper.]

[Her entire body tenses. The sound is coming from Lucian’s room.]

[Without hesitation, she strides down the hall and pushes open the door.]

[LUCIAN'S BEDROOM]

[The room is dimly lit, the glow from the hearth casting flickering shadows against the walls. Lucian lies curled up on his bed, his small frame trembling under the heavy blankets.]

[His breath comes out in ragged gasps, his fists clenching the sheets tightly.]

[The little boy stirs, but doesn’t wake. His tiny body is wracked with shudders, sweat beading on his pale forehead. His midnight-black hair sticks to his skin, and his usually vibrant blue eyes—now forced shut—are twitching as if caught in a nightmare.]

[moves closer, her fingers brushing against his forehead—burning hot.]

(worried): “You’re burning up…”

[Before she can call for the doctor, Lucian suddenly jerks awake.]

[His eyes snap open—vivid red, glowing unnaturally in the dim light. His breath hitches, his small chest rising and falling rapidly. And for the briefest moment, Evelyn feels it.]

[A pulse of something dark. Something… otherworldly.]

[ forces down the unease curling in her chest. She keeps her voice calm.]

[Lucian blinks, his red eyes flickering with confusion, then fear.]

[ immediately pulls him into her arms, feeling the way his tiny body trembles against her.]

[But deep inside, she knows something is terribly wrong.]

[Moments Later – Adrian’s Arrival]

[Footsteps echo down the hall. A second later, the door bursts open as Adrian strides in, his silver eyes sharp.]

(urgent): “What’s happening?”

[ doesn’t answer immediately. Instead, she shifts slightly, revealing Lucian in her arms—his small fingers curled tightly into her dress.]

[Adrian’s gaze snaps to the child’s eyes. His breath catches.]

(tense): “Red.”

"Yes".

“It’s… already starting.”

[ clenches his jaw, his usual cold demeanor cracking for just a moment.]

[ Adrian’s Explanation]

[Lucian has fallen back into a fitful sleep, though his breathing remains shallow. Evelyn and Adrian stand near the window, their voices low.]

(deadly calm): “Explain. Now.”

[ exhales, dragging a hand through his dark hair.]

“Is it?” (pauses, voice low) “The Night shade bloodline was never normal, Evelyn. That boy—” (gestures toward Lucian) “—was never meant to be normal.”

[Evelyn’s mind races. She has read about blood curses in ancient texts—forbidden magic, bound to a person’s lineage. Some were dormant for years, only to awaken when triggered. But for Lucian, a mere child…?]

(softly, more to herself): “What is he becoming?”

[watches her carefully.]

“That’s what we need to find out.”

[ EVELYN’S DETERMINATION]

[ takes a deep breath, pushing down the rising panic. No. She refuses to let fear control her. Lucian is her son. No matter what this curse is—she will fight it.]

Evelyn Night shade[Fl]

[She looks back at Lucian’s sleeping form. His red eyes may be terrifying, but beneath them, he is still her precious boy.]

Evelyn Night shade[Fl]

(whispering): “No matter what this curse is… I won’t let it take him.”
