[Evelyn snaps out of her thoughts. Her mind races—what did the original Evelyn act like? Cold? Distant? That won’t work. She needs a different approach.]

[Lucian’s eyes widen. His tiny lips part slightly, stunned. Then, slowly… his fingers clutch her sleeve again.]

[Adrian observes, his expression unreadable. After a moment, he turns away.]

[He exits the room without another word.]
