Episode 8

"I just...smell another scent of human on you...", Luther said in quite an annoyed and sad tone. Amelia was surprised at his behavior but just said, "Oh, it must be Michael's then. But is his scent that strong? I didn't smell anything weird though..."

Amelia was used to Luther describing other people as human. She found it quite odd at first but then, thought that maybe it was natural for him. Of course, a normal person will always find it odd but, to Amelia, Luther had become someone important during his stay even though she had not realized that yet. Luther had become Amelia's comfort zone which protects her from the loneliness she had been facing in the forest alone.

    Luther didn't say anything and just looks away. Amelia noticed that and thought that maybe he didn't like other smells that were unfamiliar to him, "Well... I am going to take a bath, after putting these things in the kitchen." "Yes, that would be nice." Luther said while smiling.

Amelia put the things in the kitchen and came out to go to the river to take a bath.

Luther saw Amelia and was about to follow her. "Why are you following me?"

"It's still bright outside. What if encounter someone unwanted while bathing? I am going to stand on guard..."

"But...fine you can follow me..." , Amelia was going to refuse but what Luther said was true.

She used to bathe during the night to avoid all the unwanted situations and attention. But, now she sometimes goes to the river during the day instead of day since it was becoming colder and Luther volunteered to stand on guard.

Of course Amelia refused at first but later on gave in when Luther assured her that he won't do anything and that he would just stand on guard.

Their walk towards the river was completely silent. They both didn't know what to talk about.

After a while, they reached there. Without saying anything, Luther goes a bit far from the river shore and turn his back to Amelia and sat down, "You can bathe now, right?"

"Ye-yes", before taking off her clothes Amelia looked at Luther and her surrounding. She took off her clothes and wrapped a towel around herself and dipped into the water.

On the other side, Luther heart was pounding. When he heard the clothes wrapping the soft skin of Amelia fall off, he tried his best to sit still, holding his breath and when Amelia went inside the water, he let's put a deep sigh of relief

"*Why the heck am I getting like this? It's not even like it's the first time I have accompanied her...*", his face still quite flushed.

Amelia was in the water enjoying her bath, sometimes sneaking peek at Luther's broad back,"I wonder how it will feel if he carries me...", she mumbled and immediately snapped out of it "...what am I even thinking?! I guess I am losing my mind!", slapping her face.

What Amelia was not aware of was that Luther had high senses compared to normal human, so naturally he heard all that she mumbled.

"Should I...carry her in my arms on our go back?", he was thinking when Luther heard Amelia loud scream.

Btw, Amelia was referring to a piggyback ride when she said she wanted to be carried. Not in the bridal styled like Luther thought.
