Short Stories: Velvet Desires! (Taekook)
Runaway Bride! #10 [End]
Their cozy apartment, decorated with the perfect mix of Taehyung’s artistic flair and Jungkook’s more laid-back, comfortable style.
Soft lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
It’s a Saturday afternoon, and the couple has just finished a leisurely breakfast together.
Today, however, there’s tension in the air.
Taehyung has been working late on his latest art project, and Jungkook, in his usual playful way, has been distracting him—leaving dirty dishes around the apartment, turning the living room into a makeshift gym, and not cleaning up after himself.
Taehyung, who has a short temper when it comes to mess, is reaching his limit.
Kim Taehyung
Jungkook, seriously? 💢
Kim Taehyung
How many times do I have to tell you to clean up after yourself? (Taehyung snaps, glaring at the scattered weights in the living room)
His voice is sharp, the irritation clear.
Jungkook, who’s just gotten out of the shower and is now lounging on the couch with his phone, raises an eyebrow.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
I’ve been busy, Tae! (he says casually, not quite catching the seriousness in Taehyung’s voice)
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
Relax, babe. (says casually)
But Taehyung’s patience is thin, and before he can stop himself, he’s snapping again.
Kim Taehyung
Relax? You can’t be serious! 😡
Kim Taehyung
You always leave things for me to clean up. 😡
Kim Taehyung
You know how I feel about this! (His face flushes with frustration as he crosses his arms, his body language all sharp angles)
Jungkook looks up from his phone, realizing that he might have pushed Taehyung too far.
He sits up, his usual playful demeanor gone.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
I’m sorry, Tae! (he says sincerely, but Taehyung, in his stubborn way, isn’t ready to forgive just yet)
Kim Taehyung
I don’t want to hear it… (Taehyung mutters, turning his back on Jungkook and walking to his studio)
He slams the door behind him, leaving a silent, frustrated Jungkook behind.
Hours pass, and the quiet in their apartment is deafening.
Jungkook knows Taehyung needs some space, but he’s also well aware that Taehyung’s anger doesn’t last long—it’s just his way of coping with things.
Jungkook, knowing his wife’s temperament all too well, makes a plan.
As the evening sets in, Jungkook prepares a small surprise—Taehyung’s favorite comfort food, a plate of perfectly made homemade pasta with all the little details Taehyung loves, and a single rose in a vase beside it.
He even sets the table in the same cozy spot by the window where they used to share late-night dinners when they first started dating.
When Taehyung finally comes out of the studio, his mood still stormy, he stops in his tracks as he sees the dinner table set.
His face softens despite himself.
He walks over slowly, his arms crossed but his features more relaxed.
Jungkook, sitting at the table, smiles warmly.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
I’m sorry, Tae… (he says, his voice soft and genuine)
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
I know I messed up, and I’ll do better.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
But I love you, and I never want to make you feel unappreciated.
Taehyung hesitates, his emotions a bit of a jumble, but deep down, he knows Jungkook always knows how to make things right.
He sits down across from Jungkook, the tension melting away as he meets his husband’s eyes.
Jungkook slides the plate of pasta over to him, adding.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
You’re my world, Tae.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
I know I’m messy sometimes, but I’ll clean up my act if it makes you happy.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
Just… don’t stay mad at me for too long, okay? 😗
A soft laugh escapes Taehyung’s lips, and he finally reaches for his fork.
Kim Taehyung
You’re lucky I love you so much. (he mutters, but his tone is more affectionate now)
The atmosphere is light again, the fight forgotten as they dig into the pasta, their feet brushing under the table.
Jungkook leans in, stealing a kiss from Taehyung’s cheek, which makes him blush.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
You know, every time you get mad, I just fall for you even more. 😏😌
Taehyung rolls his eyes but can’t suppress the smile that tugs at his lips.
Kim Taehyung
You’re impossible, Jeon Jungkook. (he teases, but there’s no malice in his voice)
His heart is lighter, the love between them undeniable.
As they finish their meal, Taehyung leans back in his chair, his hand finding Jungkook’s.
Kim Taehyung
You’re lucky I’m weak for you. (he says with a soft chuckle, the last remnants of frustration fading away as they settle into their peaceful, loving routine)
Jungkook grins, squeezing his hand.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
Lucky for both of us, then. 😏
And with that, they share a quiet evening, their small fights always followed by the same comforting resolution—love, laughter, and a sense of togetherness that will carry them through any storm.
