shhhh..

The moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a silvery glow across the room. Aarav shifted slightly, his breath warm against Sarah's temple. She stirred, her fingers tracing absentminded patterns on his chest, her touch sending shivers through him.

"Aarav," she murmured, her voice soft and sleepy yet laced with curiosity. "What’s your happiest memory?"

He smiled in the darkness, his lips brushing her hair. "It’s right now," he said. "Here, with you. Every moment with you feels like it outshines the last."

Her cheeks warmed, though the room was cool. "You always know what to say," she teased, her tone light but her heart heavy with emotion.

"It’s easy when it’s the truth," Aarav countered, tilting her chin up to meet his gaze. Even in the dim light, the intensity of his dark eyes made her breath catch.

"Do you ever wonder what our future might look like?" Sarah ventured, her voice trembling with vulnerability.

"I don’t have to wonder," Aarav replied, his thumb brushing over her cheek. "I know it’ll be beautiful because you’ll be in it."

She laughed softly, a mixture of joy and disbelief. "How do you make everything sound so perfect?"

"Maybe because it feels perfect when I’m with you," he whispered, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead.

Time seemed to stand still as they held each other, hearts beating in a harmonious rhythm. The worries of the world melted away, leaving only the promise of what could be—a life filled with love, passion, and endless whispered conversations beneath the stars.

"I love you, Aarav," Sarah said, her voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions within her.

Aarav cupped her face, his eyes brimming with tenderness. "And I love you, Sarah. More than words could ever express."

Their lips met in a gentle kiss, sealing their promises to each other. The world outside their cocoon of warmth and love faded further, leaving only the magic of the night and the promise of forever.

The first rays of sunlight spilled into the room, painting everything in soft gold. Aarav stirred awake, blinking groggily as the warm light touched his face. Beside him, Sarah lay peacefully, her features relaxed in sleep, a hint of a smile still lingering on her lips.

He watched her for a moment, the events of the previous night playing in his mind. His heart swelled, but then came a flutter of nervousness—what would she think this morning? Would she feel the same?

Just then, Sarah stirred, her eyes fluttering open. She turned her head slightly, and their eyes met. A faint blush spread across her cheeks, and she bit her lip, as if unsure how to start.

"Morning," Aarav said softly, his voice still husky from sleep.

"Morning," Sarah replied, her voice barely audible. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, avoiding his gaze for a moment before looking back at him.

The room was silent, the air between them charged with unspoken thoughts. Finally, Aarav broke the quiet, a shy smile playing on his lips. "So... about last night..."

Sarah's blush deepened. "Yeah, last night..." She let out a nervous laugh, her hands fidgeting with the edge of the blanket. "It was... something."

"Something good, I hope?" Aarav teased gently, though his own nerves were evident in the way he shifted closer to her.

She nodded quickly, her eyes meeting his with a mix of shyness and sincerity. "It was perfect," she admitted, her voice small but genuine.

Relief washed over Aarav, and he reached for her hand, his fingers brushing hers hesitantly. "I was worried you'd think I said too much," he confessed, his vulnerability showing.

Sarah shook her head, her lips curving into a soft smile. "You didn’t say too much. You said exactly what I needed to hear."

Aarav's heart thudded in his chest. "Good," he said, his own cheeks coloring. "Because I meant every word."

They shared a shy laugh, the awkwardness slowly melting into a familiar warmth. As the sunlight grew brighter, so did their courage. Aarav leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead, and Sarah rested her head against his shoulder, feeling more at ease.

The morning unfolded gently, filled with soft smiles, lingering touches, and the quiet promise of a love that had only just begun to bloom.
