Sarah pushed open the door to the tuition centre, expecting to see Mrs Jain and a room full of students. But instead, she was met with an eerie silence.
The room was empty, except for one person: Aarav.
He sat at a desk, his eyes fixed on a book in front of him. But as Sarah entered, he looked up, his gaze locking onto hers.
Sarah's heart skipped a beat. What was Aarav doing here alone?
"Aarav," Sarah said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Aarav's expression was unreadable. "Sarah. What brings you here?"
Sarah's eyes narrowed. "I could ask you the same thing. Where is everyone?"
Aarav shrugged. "I guess Mrs Jain cancelled the tuition for today. I didn't get the message."
Sarah's instincts screamed at her to be cautious. Something didn't feel right.
"Aarav, we need to talk," Sarah said, her voice firm.
Aarav's gaze never wavered. "About what, Sarah?"
Sarah took a deep breath. "About what I saw at the pool. About you and Sophia."
Aarav's expression remained neutral, but Sarah detected a flicker of something in his eyes. Guilt? Anxiety?
"What about it, Sarah?" Aarav asked, his voice low and even.
Sarah's heart pounded in her chest. She knew she had to tread carefully.
"I want the truth, Aarav," Sarah said, her voice steady. "Are you in a relationship with Sophia?"
Aarav's gaze locked onto hers, his eyes burning with an intensity that made Sarah's skin prickle.
And then, in a voice that sent shivers down Sarah's spine, Aarav said:
"I'll tell you everything, Sarah. But first, you need to promise me one thing."
Sarah's heart skipped a beat. What did Aarav want her to promise?
"What is it, Aarav?" Sarah asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Aarav's smile was a thin, mirthless line.
"Promise me you'll listen to the truth, no matter how hard it is to hear."
Sarah's instincts screamed at her to run, to get as far away from Aarav as possible.
But her curiosity got the better of her.
"I promise," Sarah said, her voice steady.
Aarav's gaze never wavered.
"Good," he said, his voice low and even. "Because the truth is going to change everything."
And with that, Aarav began to speak, his words dripping with a sinister intent that made Sarah's blood run cold.
As Aarav began to speak, his words poured out like a dam breaking. Sarah listened, entranced, as he revealed the secrets he'd been keeping.
"I've been in love with you for so long, Sarah," Aarav said, his voice trembling. "But I was too afraid to tell you. I didn't want to ruin our friendship."
Sarah's heart skipped a beat. She'd had feelings for Aarav too, but she'd never dared to hope.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Sarah asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Aarav's eyes locked onto hers. "I was scared of losing you. But I realize now that I was stupid to wait. I want to spend the rest of my life making it up to you."
Sarah's heart melted. No one had ever spoken to her like that before.
"Aarav," Sarah said, her voice trembling. "I've had feelings for you too."
Aarav's face lit up with joy. He took a step closer, his eyes burning with intensity.
"Really?" Aarav asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sarah nodded, her heart pounding in her chest.
Aarav's lips crashed down on hers, sending shivers down her spine. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the depths of their passion.
As they broke apart for air, Aarav's eyes locked onto hers.
"I love you, Sarah," Aarav whispered.
Sarah's heart soared. "I love you too, Aarav."
Their lips met again, sealing their love forever.
