Chapter Two: Sarah’s back story

Sarah was born on April 11th, 1995, in Dothan Alabama. she has always been a girl who loved her life, as she grew up she was full of life and energy. She loved to sing and always enjoyed going to church with her family. She adored animals but her favorite out of all animals were horses. The older she got the more she started to enjoy life. She had an older brother a mother and a father. Her mother’s name is Theresa and her father was named Raymond, Her older brother is Jeremiah. She believed her life was great. She had a family, a church called ‘glory to him fellowship, ’ home and nothing seemed it would ever go wrong. She even became an older sister when she found out her mom was pregnant later on down the road. when her sister was born her name was Elizabeth. The first time Sarah held her sister she was full of joy and excitement. When her parents decided to move back up to Colorado Springs. She found it very difficult to leave her church in Alabama, she didn't want to leave her friends and the only place she knew best, but Sarah was forced to leave her friends. She didn’t want to leave but she had to, she was too young to make her own decisions.

Once she moved to the state of Colorado she settled into the new place. She made new friends and found a new church called lighthouse temple. She began to attach to the new place. Sarah found her best friend at the new church. Her name was also Sarah, when they met each other they were inseparable, they had many things in common. Sarah’s life started to get better and better as time passed. However; the first time she felt hurt and heartache was when she heard the news of her parents getting a divorce, she didn’t understand why. She believed for years it was her fault. She thought she has done something wrong. Sarah wept and cried pleading to God to keep her family together. The first time she felt a deep shatter in her heart was when her parents went through and divorced. Feeling like she has to choose which parent to like more and who to blame. She felt this hole. She couldn’t understand. Why God never kept them together.

Sarah loved everyone so much she hurt watching her family slowly become nothing, they fought and couldn't get along and pull together but Sarah lived with her mother, sister, and brother trying to keep what was left together while she began to drift from her father. With only phone call conversations with her father she still lost connection she once had.

Sarah was homeschooled until she was in 5th grade. went to a public school called wittier elementary.

She was always quiet and didn't talk much, She was shy and kept to herself.

One day she met a boy named Emilio. For the longest time, she thought he was cute and liked him a lot. Emilio approached Sarah one day and became friends. When it was time for recess they both decided to go swing on the school playground.

When they matched rhythm they both joked about being married. And when they swung off rhythm they joked about being divorced.

After a while, they became a couple. They were together for five years. Supporting each other and enjoying each other's company. Sarah felt loved and accepted knowing she had someone she already thought she loved and wanted to marry one day.

The first year they were together Sarah went onto 6th grade happy and full of life and love. While Emilio was in 5th grade. Due to the fact he was a year younger than her. on the second day of 6th grade, that’s when she met a boy she never thought would mean the world to her. She was assigned seats next to this emo boy with long hair. He seemed like he was nothing but trouble. Which he was. He was cocky and mean, he was always late to class and didn't act like he cared about school but only went for his friends. His name happens to be Kaleb, Now Sarah was young and still flirtatious so when she saw Kaleb she had this crush on him. She told him “your sexy” and made him smile. He liked how straight up and blunt she was so Sarah and Kaleb became great friends but nothing more. She was happy with Emilio. Unfortunately, the day she feared had come to pass, her heart had gotten broken as soon as the only boy she thought was the one told her he’s done with her because he had found his childhood best friend he was in love with. He chose this girl over Sarah and felt absolutely no sympathy for Sarah.

Sarah’s heart was shattered once again. Only this time, her first pain of loving someone and watching them walk away as if she didn't matter. Once she decided to finally move on. She had other crushes and relationships, but never once consider Kaleb, she only felt a friendship with Caleb because her relationship with him was so strong she didn't want to mess anything up. Other crushes came and went, she knew they were only fetishes. She played hard to get and chased after boys that gave her any kind of attention. She met a boy named Nathaniel and became his friend. She hung out with Nate a lot. But before she knew she was headed down a path that will give her an experience with the biggest heartbreak of her life. An event that will turn into trauma and will cause her to never be the same ever again. Her pain and sorrow ended up causing her friendships to crumble and some even helped lead her to make wrong choices. She began to lie to her friends and family because she desired love and affection. She lied so much she began to believe her own lies. Every cute boy she laid eyed on she became lustful and flirtatious.

She kept falling into the same mistake over and over, becoming obsessed with boy bands and boys at school, her friendship with Kaleb however, was always the same without change. Their bond for each other was real and tight. They knew everything about each other's secrets, hurts, and pains. They were practically inseparable. However, Sarah didn't see the treasure she had all along. Being so blind and obsessed with wrong things and people. So she ignored the signs of what she could have had in Kaleb, and decided to become focused on other unlikely things. Little did she know that was the beginning of her biggest mistake.
