Julia: Violence doesn't solve anything, it only makes things worse, it awakens more hate.
Renan: Julia, I think you better leave.

He was staring at me, then he looked away to Gabriel who was holding the back of my dress behind me.

Bia was scared in my arms and I could feel Gabriel shaking behind me too.
Mr. Renan left the room and I closed the door.

I leave Gabriel's room not knowing if I'm angry at Julia for stopping me from hitting Gabriel, or grateful for the same reason.
I go into my room and sit on the bed. My cell phone rings and it was Emily. She says that she heard the argument from her house and hopes that everything has been resolved.
I tell her that I'm stressed and she says that if her brother and friends weren't at her house, she would invite me over for a drink. I decided to make an invitation to my house this time, she said she would come. Minutes later she arrives and I go to receive her.
Emily: I brought wine.
Renan: Come in, make yourself comfortable.
She comes in and soon I'm venting about everything that has happened since I arrived.
Emily: Your mother was very unfortunate in what she said.
Renan: Do you understand me, Emily? She said it as if I cared that Milena left... I don't care about her, I just wanted her to care about our children.
