In the meantime, between Renan finishing his coffee and going up to his room, his nephew came down and was happy when he saw the food, hugged me, and said he already liked me.

Ruth: Felipe?

Felipe: I'm here, Grandma! Come on, we have a full breakfast today.

A beautiful lady enters the kitchen and looks at me.

Ruth: You must be Julia.

I extend my hand.

Julia: That's right, nice to meet you, ma'am.

She shakes my hand.

Ruth: You're quite pretty.

She looks me up and down, making the boys laugh, and goes to the table.

Renan: I'm back and I'm leaving now. Gabriel, come give me a hug.

He gets up and goes to his father.

Renan: Behave yourself, obey Grandma and Julia, I'll bring you a cool present.

Felipe: For me too, Uncle?

Renan: Of course, but you have to behave.

Gabriel: We will.

Renan: I'm trusting you two, you're the men of the house while I'm gone, take care of the women.

Gabriel returns to the table and Renan comes to talk to Beatriz.

Renan: Daddy already misses you, behave yourself, young lady… Julia, remember the priority.

Julia: You can travel peacefully, Mr. Renan, your children are in good hands, I promise to take good care of them.

Renan: I trust you, Julia, thank you.

Ruth: Have a safe trip, son, if you remember, bring your mother a jewel.

He finishes saying goodbye and leaves.

During the morning, the boys were watching TV, they didn't get ready, they just watched. I put Beatriz in her high chair and took the opportunity to tidy up the living room. When I was almost finished with the living room, the groceries arrived and Luis left them in the kitchen.

Ruth: Julia, can you tidy up my room later?

Julia: Of course, I'll leave tidying up the upstairs for when the children take their afternoon nap.

She continued reading her magazine.

Gabriel: This cartoon is boring, let's go play in my room, Felipe?

Felipe: Let's go!

Julia: Wait, boys, I think it's better if you play where I can see you.

Gabriel rolled his eyes.

Felipe: Here in the living room?

Julia: Mrs. Ruth, can you watch them while I make lunch?

Ruth: Oh, Julia, I just remembered I have to make a call, I'll be in my room.

She went upstairs.

Julia: Okay then, let's think about what we can do…

Gabriel: That's so easy, you just need to connect the house cameras to your phone and watch us.

Julia: Seriously? Mr. Renan didn't tell me anything about that.

I hand him my phone and he was right.

Julia: Thank you, Gabriel, you are very smart.

Felipe: So can we stay here playing, Julia?

Julia: Yes, but don't leave here.

I put Beatriz in the stroller and go to the kitchen. I leave my phone propped up while I cook, I watch the boys, and I talk to Bia.

Julia: Daddy.

Beatriz: Dada.

When lunch is ready, I remember that I haven't looked at my phone for a few minutes, I look at the camera, and I don't see the two of them.

Julia: Where did those two go?

I take Bia in my arms and go to the living room, I look everywhere, and I can't find them.

Julia: Boys?

I call them, but they don't appear.

Julia: This can't be…

I turn around and I see them both dressed as monsters behind me.

Felipe: Boo!

Gabriel: Boo!

Julia: Ahh!

They and Beatriz laugh.

Julia: Don't do that again, you two, you scared me to death.

They laugh even more and follow me to the kitchen.

Gabriel: I'm hungry!

Felipe: Me too.

Julia: Let's take a bath first, you guys are sweaty, and Bia needs one too.

We went to Bia's room and I gave her a bath and dressed her, then I helped the boys with their baths, and with the three of them ready, I went to tell Mrs. Ruth that lunch was ready.

They sit at the table, and I serve them.

Gabriel: I don't like this…

Julia: This is called beetroot, have you ever even tried it?

He shakes his head.

Julia: Then you can't say you don't like it yet, only if you try it and don't like it.

He takes a piece and puts it in his mouth.

Julia: So?

Gabriel: It's okay…

Julia: But can you eat it?

Gabriel: Yes.

Julia: Great, it will make you strong and healthy.

I stay with them while I feed Beatriz, and soon Mrs. Ruth arrives.

Ruth: I'm here, and I'm starving! Wow, Julia, you outdid yourself, I could smell it from upstairs.

I smile at her and continue feeding Beatriz.

Everyone went back for seconds, even Beatriz. I leave them in the living room resting after lunch while I wash the dishes and watch Beatriz play on the rug.

I sit down to eat lunch and after I finish, I go see the boys. They were almost asleep on the couch, so I took them both to their room, and they fell asleep.

Julia: Now it's your turn, young lady.

I take her to her room and it doesn't take long for her to fall asleep.

I take the opportunity to tidy up the rooms and all the other rooms upstairs, as I was doing them in order, Mr. Renan's room, which is at the end of the hallway, was left for last.

I tidy up the room and leave the balcony for last, I go out with the vacuum cleaner and when I'm cleaning, I hear someone calling me.

Julia: Virginia!

It was Virginia next door, we wave to each other and a blonde woman appears behind her.

Julia: Her boss.

I notice Virginia saying something to her and the woman waves to me, I wave back and they both go inside.

I finish the room and check on the children, they were still sleeping, so I took the opportunity to take a shower. In the meantime, I text Mrs. Gloria and Virginia calls me.

📱Virginia: Hey girl, how are things at work?

📱Julia: Pretty quiet, even though Mr. Renan's mother is a bit lazy.

📱Virginia: I can imagine, girl, there's always one… Did you see the blonde in the room? That's Mrs. Emily, my boss.

📱Julia: Yes, she's very beautiful, by the way.

📱Virginia: Well, I think she and your boss are hooking up occasionally.

She leaves and I continue playing with the boys.

Bia knocks over our house of cards and the boys get upset.

Julia: It was an accident, we'll make another one.

The late afternoon was quiet, soon it was night and after dinner the boys went to bed, I went to my room with Bia and while we were in bed my phone rang.

📱Renan: Julia, I just landed.

📱Julia: Hi, Mr. Renan, was the trip okay?

📱Renan: Yes, it was. How are the children?

📱Julia: The boys went to sleep and Bia is in the room with me, she's a little restless.

📱Renan: She's always like that, the good thing is that she sleeps through the night without waking up, has she eaten yet?

📱Julia: Her porridge is cooling down.

📱Renan: Okay. And my mother?

📱Julia: She said she had a date with her friends and would be back late.

📱Renan: You can't be serious… I'm sorry about that, Julia, she'll be gone soon.

📱Renan: I have to go now, Julia, I'll call tomorrow to talk to Gabriel, let me know if anything happens.
