Lucca's POV

My little one is very talented, she's already mastered hunting, fighting, strategies, but she still lacked the one that brought back bad memories: Weapons... After seeing the Supreme's reflection on me, I was even more intrigued, and even with Maia telling me it was going to be alright, I was euphoric.

Maia: If you don't focus, you're going to get hurt, Alpha...

My little one said, in fighting stance.

Lucca: If I lose, what do you want?

Maia thinks for a moment then smiles

Maia: I want to go out with the girls to a party, just us...

Lucca: No way... You each have your mate, parties are with them or not at all...

Miranda: Done! Finish him, Luna...

Maria: We're counting on you, Luna, at least we'll be able to dance, since we never could when we were prisoners.

Lucca: No fighting, my Luna, we'll take you dancing. I'll talk to the guys. Finish your training.

I leave them celebrating and head towards where the guys are. When they see me, they gather around.

Atila: I heard our Luna was going to challenge you...

Lucca: They want to go dancing.

Willian: Without us?

Brendon: Is that okay?

Bruno: My answer is n...

Lucca: Of course, we're going together, right?

Bruno: Yeah, hahaha, let's go.

We laughed and decided to go to the edge of the pack territory, where there are bars and clubs—yes, we're modern, some even work in the human city, but using camouflage spells so they don't get identified.

Night falls and the girls are making a racket in their room getting ready together, and we're waiting in the living room.

Brendon: Alpha, can I pretend to be sick so Mirtes won't go?

Willian: Me too?

Atila: I want to see you guys die watching them dance, hahaha.

I feel a chill down my spine when Atila says that; will I actually go crazy?

When they come down, I almost have a heart attack. Maia was wearing a black leather outfit—well, not an outfit, shorts that perfectly fit her body as if it were second skin, and on top, a bra slightly bigger than a regular one, her hair down, her makeup striking, and her lips red. She came up to me, and I didn't even blink.

Maia: Like it, love?

They all asked at the same time.

And we all answered together:

All men: I think I'm gonna be sick...

They burst out laughing, and we ended up laughing too. Tonight would be the most torturous endurance test we'd ever put ourselves through, that's for sure. We headed for the cars and drove to the other side of the pack territory. Atila said there was a wedding going on there today, and I took advantage of the fact that I had to go and took everyone along.

When we got there, I wished I was actually sick. Maia drew attention wherever she went; the unmated wolves were frozen. She bears my mark, but hasn't been formally introduced, and since they're not used to destined mates, they have no idea they can't even think about touching her.

The wedding went off without a hitch; the real problem started when they opened the dance floor. The girls left us sitting and gathered to dance. So far so good, until a group of wolves approached Mirtes, and she got scared and moved away from them, and the others tried it on with our mates, but it was too quick. Maia grabbed the wolf's arm, turning him around and making him kneel...

Man: Please, calm down, I just wanted to dance with you.

We got closer.

Maia: We said no!

Lucca: What's going on here?

Man: Alpha, thank the Goddess, these women are crazy for us, and we came to oblige, and now they're playing hard to get. Get us out of this, Alpha.

When he said they wanted us, my blood boiled, as did my friends'. We grabbed all the men by the collars.

Lucca: I think you're mistaken, since the she-wolves in question already have their mates. Namely, us!

He trembles, begging for forgiveness, but there was no turning back. We took them into the woods and taught them a good lesson...

Maia: I need a shower; I'm filthy...

I press my lips to hers and inhale her scent...

Lucca: I love the invitation. Let's go.

We headed back to the cars and drove home. The girls fell asleep in the car, and we ended up carrying them to their rooms...
