With a heavy heart, I wiped away my tears and made my way to our pack house, my thoughts consumed by my little champ, Elijah.

But as I approached his nursery, my heart shattered once more at the sight of my dear mother lying in a pool of her own blood,

A silent guardian who had sacrificed her life to protect her grandchild.
