Episode 108

Camila said indifferently and didn't bother to open her eyes. She was too tired for the day and even lifting an arm was already exhausting. She heard her office door slowly open and soft but firm footsteps enter the room.

Still with her eyes closed, Camila listened to the sound calmly. She assumed that the person who entered the room was Luka, who came to give her another pile of papers to work on, when Camila found something strange.

Luka didn't stop in front of her as he did before when he entered her office to discuss some business matters. The footsteps continued walking until they stopped next to her chair.

Suddenly, instinctively, Camila felt someone's eyes staring at her, very intensely. She no longer felt like napping and opened her eyes. What was in front of her soon surprised her.

"What are you doing here?" Camila asked. She was surprised to see Maximiliano inside her office.

Maximiliano held a flower in his hand and said, "Congratulations on officially starting your own entertainment company."

Camila took the bouquet of flowers and smelled it; the sweet and radiant aroma gently assailed her nose, but it wasn't overwhelming. Instead, Camila's nerves that had been tense all day quickly relaxed upon smelling these flowers.

After giving her thanks, Camila got up and went to the vase on top of the dressers against the wall near her desk. Since it was empty, Camila quickly took the flowers in her arms and put each one of them inside the vase. Soon, the room became a little more lively and the flowers finally occupied the vase.

Returning to his side, Camila saw him sitting in the chair she used to sit in a moment ago. She raised an eyebrow, but he returned it with an amused look in his eyes. Then he gestured for her to come closer and she approached him.
