Episode 3

The man coldly stared at Camila. He didn't answer her.

On the other hand, the bartender behind the counter was sweating profusely, but since he was standing in front of the two, he couldn't even dare to try and wipe his sweat.

'Miss Castro, you can't just say whatever you want in front of this man!'

But Camila turned a blind eye to the warning the bartender was shooting her way. Or rather, she was completely absorbed in her one-sided conversation with the handsome man.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" she repeated her question.

However, the man didn't answer again the second time.

Camila was confused.

She knew that she was extremely bold and shameless for trying to pick up guys in public, but what could she do? She was desperate to set her plans into motion. She wanted revenge and to make everyone regret doing this to her, even if it meant ruining her reputation, which they had already ruined.

Camila felt the man trying to pull his hand away, but she pulled it closer to her. The man was gentle with her even after her blatant question, and because of that, when she pulled him, they almost bumped into each other.

Thankfully, the man stopped before their bodies hit each other.

After he stabilized himself, the man quickly released her hand.

Camila gave him an awkward smile and said, "Sorry."

The man finally opened his mouth and said, "It's okay."

"...And I don't have a girlfriend."

At first, Camila thought he would get angry at her. If he was mad at her for touching him without his permission, she would gladly accept it since it was her fault. However, she didn't expect him to answer.

Camila was stunned for a moment. Then she said, "Then, can I be your girlfriend?"

Camila stared intently at the bartender.

The two stared at each other without saying anything. The only sound that could be heard inside the bar was the faint voices of the bartenders cleaning the tables and floor.

A minute later, the bartender placed a new glass full of vodka in front of her and said, "Miss Castro, it's okay. I didn't take that man's words too seriously. It's just that he is someone who would rather die single than have a girlfriend."

Camila was shocked and asked, "Is he gay?" Before the bartender could answer, she added, "No wonder he rejected me."

For some reason, the bartender felt his knees weakening and turning into a puddle beneath him. He wanted to cover her mouth so other people wouldn't hear her words lest someone report it to that man.

Camila frowned as she saw the strange expression on the bartender's face.

"Do you know him?" Camila asked.

The bartender nodded solemnly.

"He is Maximiliano Silva."

When Camila returned to her car, she flopped down onto her seat and covered her face with her hands. Her ears turned red as she recalled what she did and said to Maximiliano inside the bar.

'That man was Maximiliano Silva! How could I be so stupid and try to flirt with him?' Camila regretted it so much.

Maximiliano is the third son of the current head of the Silva family. The Castro and Torres family might be very rich in City A and considered one of the top 10 families in City A, but it couldn't compare to the Silva family, which was one of the top 3 families in the country.

Two years ago, Camila saw him at a party. Maximiliano was standing in a corner, but it was like there was an invisible wall around him that no one dared to approach. He is really handsome and very tall with his 193 centimeters height; he was someone that people wouldn't forget when they saw him.

But at that time, Camila's attention was all on Javier. So, she didn't take his charm to heart and eventually forgot about him.

Now that she thinks about it, it seems like Camila treated a stone as a diamond when the real diamond was right before her eyes!

However, this wasn't the time to reminisce about how stupid she was for treating Javier like a treasure. She must find a way to strike back at these loathsome people!

Camila quickly recovered and went to a fertility clinic in the city. She chose the clinic that wasn't within her and Javier's family's radar or influence. She wanted to keep this event a secret until she dropped the bomb on their heads.

After completing some paperwork and paying the bills, a nurse led Camila inside a room. Not only a few minutes later, a doctor came in.

The doctor didn't ask her anything like where Camila's partner was and kept a professional and strictly business tone as she had Camila lie down on the operating table.

With her legs spread apart, Camila felt nervous and ashamed.

Today, she was going to undergo Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). It was a procedure that would place sperm directly inside her uterus. That way, even if Camila didn't have a partner, she would get pregnant.
