Episode 28

President Ronan didn't understand what she was talking about, and it took him a long time to recover from what happened inside the office. What does she mean by that? Is she planning to return to the industry again?

When the secretary entered the office to check on the president, she found the president staring ahead in incomprehension. Afraid of bothering him, she left the room again and sighed deeply.

Inside the elevator, Camila was smiling as she looked at the check in her hand. She never felt so happy to have money in her hands, probably because she grew up in a wealthy environment and never experienced a lack of money.

When she found out that she couldn't use her bank account, Camila hesitated for a moment. Not having money meant that she had to rearrange her plans to be profitable.

After leaving the private elevator, Camila didn't forget to send a text message to President Ronan, reminding him to tell his bank earlier since she planned to receive her money today.

And just as she exited Star Studios, she received a call from Maximiliano telling her that he couldn't attend their dinner plans because he had a place to go outside City A. Camila didn't want to hinder him or act clingy by trying to stop him and allowed him to go.

"See you again when I return to the city," Maximiliano told her.

Camila hummed, entered her car, and started it. Then she heard him speak again over the phone.

"Didn't you just rent your apartment?"

Camila replied, "Yes, I rented it this morning."

Silence fell on the other end of the phone.

Then, he said after a split second, "Don't go to a hotel. I have a villa in a city where I currently live while staying in the city. Go and stay there."

"Okay." Camila didn't try to refuse his offer. They were married now; there was no need for her to act shy and reject her own husband's offer. Besides, shouldn't she try to be more shameless? "I'll wait for your return," she told him before hanging up.
