One month later, Rita felt terribly sick and felt like she couldn't get out of bed at all. At this sight, in fear she bought a pregnancy kit and when the test came back positive she couldn't believe it. So she tried again and again and again, she tried five more times, but they all came back positive. Her worst fear had come true, and she didn't know what to do because it was only two more months till the wedding, and she was pregnant with another man's child, and she knew very well that the father was the male escort. She was thinking about having an abortion, but then she had an idea. Rita thought that she could pretend and lie to everyone that the child is Max's child, and he realizes that he can't back out if the marriage because public opinion will bring about his and his company's downfall it'll be too late.

She paid someone to photoshop pictures of her and Max in bed together hoping that the plan would work because she was betting everything on it. Rita was in a state of desperation because the fact that she was pregnant was getting obvious day by day. In the end she couldn't take it anymore and called a newspaper company and lied to them that Max came back drunk one night and got her pregnant before the wedding. At first, they didn't believe her, but she had anticipated this and sent them photoshopped pictures of her and Max in bed about a month ago and another of the baby's ultrasound.

Immediately within a few days it was all over the news and newspapers. People were congratulating the happy couple and everyone was happy but the Max's family. They'd seen the news and at first his parents believed it but after closer inspection they realized that it was fake. They'd called Rita to the living room and told her to kneel, but she told them that she's pregnant with Max's child, and she can't kneel or else they might lose their grandchild. In anger Max's father slapped Rita across the face which made her fall to the ground. He started insulting her telling her that she has the nerve to act like that when the child is from some rogue man.

Rita started crying and trying to tell them that the child is Max's child nobody else's, but they got even angrier and told her they'll break off the marriage and then kicked her out. As she was walking out she saw Jake smirk and in return she smirked back at him which shocked him and made him feel uneasy. When she left the room she took out the phone in her pocket revealing that it was recording the whole conversation and whispered to herself with bloodshot eyes I wonder how people would feel if the in-laws of a pregnant woman abuses her. She called a popular news station pret sent the recording to a popular news station and within a few days it had blown up. All over the country people were insulting Max and his family.

Saying that it was Max's fault for not controlling himself and going after her before the wedding. And they should not blame and hit a pregnant woman telling her to kneel. They added what if she loses the baby also calling them heartless because it seemed they didn't care about their new family member in her womb and instead forsake it. Others said that how can they try and call off the wedding when she's pregnant with his child and why are they trying to hide. People were saying that Max should come out and take responsibility instead of bullying a pregnant woman. Meanwhile, at Max's house Rita was once again called on by Max's parents and immediately once she opened the door a glass cup shattered next to her. She looked at them and said that they don't want her to end up being in the hospital and the situation becoming worse do they.

Max's parents said that she was shameless for being able to lie through her teeth and now the company's stocks are plummeting because of this incident. Rita told them that now they can't call off the wedding because if they do, it'll make their stocks plummet more and the public opinion will become worse than it already is. Max's parents told her to get out and go run away with that rogue man of hers that got her pregnant because she should stop bothering them. But Rita told them that she can't do that because once she becomes Max's wife she'll have a lot more benefits, and then she walked away. Max was shouting and swearing behind her that he'd rather die than marry someone like her. Jake was leaning on the door and said that he knew she was up to no good the moment he saw that she came back so late from her bachelorette party. But Rita looked at him and said that he didn't do anything about it did he.

During this time Trixie and Aria were busy enjoying their time at the spa that Aria booked for them to relax a month ago. They were lying down with cucumbers over their eyes when they heard the news talk about how Max got Rita pregnant and doesn't want to take responsibility for it. Trixie scoffed saying that she's not surprised and Aria added while cackling that he must have been pretty desperate to have touched her. But what made them pay proper attention was when she heard the fact that Max and his family abused her because she got pregnant when it was his fault. They even showed the photoshopped pictures. Trixie stood up from her chair removing the cucumbers and saying that it's fake. She said that the Max bit is believable but Jake and his parents would never abuse a pregnant woman because they're too nice especially if that woman is carrying the child of one of the members of their family which means that the child is not Max's. Aria said that she's not surprised because it sounds like something Rita would do. After all the only thing that is ever on her mind is evil schemes to help her position in society and to ruin others.
