Another Chance

As time went on Max and Jake kept going to Trixie every day with all sorts of gifts and her favorite things asking for a second chance but both her and Aria would ignore them slamming the door in their faces without listening to what they have to say for themselves. Trixie didn't forgive them no matter what because one was engaged the other took advantage of her, and they still had the guts to try to take her back. As the weeks went by Max and Jake's visits became less frequent. Which made Aria and Trixie breath a sigh of relief. Until a few days later when Trixie went to pick up Henry and James as she was entering the school a strange guy dressed in all black with a hood and mask suddenly came dashing towards her out of nowhere with a knife in his hands. Then to her left she heard a familiar voice scream while pushing her out of way.

They both fell to the ground with a huge thud and when she looked up her expression darkened when she'd realized the person who saved her was Max. But the hooded person turned around and rushed at the two of them lying on the ground. Max covered Trixie with his back facing the knife to protect her then out of nowhere someone jumped in front of them and took the brunt of the attack. It turned out it was Jake, and they looked in horror as he was stabbed in the stomach. The noise of the fight attracted people to the area and as more people gathered the hooded guy took the knife out of Jake and ran away before he was caught leaving Jake who was badly injured as he fell to the ground groggily with his blood pouring out like a fountain.

Once Max and Trixie saw Jake dying right in front of them they scream and cry as people around were dialing the ambulance of a nearby hospital. Trixie quickly picked up Henry and James, but her guilt wouldn't let her leave Jake on the floor injured waiting for an ambulance after he got stabbed trying to save her. In the end the ambulance didn't arrive until thirteen minutes later, and they carried the passed out, bleeding Jake onto a stretcher into the ambulance. Trixie, Max, Henry and James entered along with them. Once they arrived at the hospital Jake was rushed to surgery while the four of them sat in the waiting room consumed with worry. About an hour later the doctor came out saying he's fine and that he was very lucky because he didn't get stabbed in any of his vital areas.

When they entered Jake's hospital room Trixie was overcome with guilt because he got hurt saving her like Max. So she opened her mouth and said she'd give Jake one last chance but once he has lost it that's the end. Max asked if she'll also give him another chance too, and she said that he treated her like crap abusing her both mentally and physically day by day before, and also she didn't want to be a mistress for his fiancé no matter how much she didn't like her she didn't want to rob someone of their future husband. Then Max blurted out what if he wasn't engaged anymore and called off their engagement. Trixie gave him a big slap saying that he changed to a different girl so quickly even calling off an engagement with someone he loved. Max opened his mouth to speak, but Trixie shushed him and continued talking about how he could abandon his fiancé so quickly how can she be sure he won't abandon her too.

She continued by saying that his crazy fiancé Rita is also very likely to be the one who hired the hooded guy to kill her. The twins started shaking in fear asking if their mother is going to die because they didn't want her to die as they stuttered while holding her tightly. She quickly comforted them, drying their tears and left the room before Max could say what he wanted to say she stormed out with the twins following right behind her with puffy eyes from the crying. Trixie came by the ambulance and didn't have her car, so she called a taxi to pick her up. After reaching the house Aria rushed to them screaming that Trixie's on the news. Which Trixie didn't care much about because as one of the best young female entrepreneurs she's used to it. But only after hearing she was on the news with Max and Jake did she run to the TV. It talked about the incident outside the school and there was a video of Trixie being saved by them by a killer. They started talking about how the rumors were true about them being childhood friends and her being Max's ex-girlfriend.

Then all over the internet people were saying she came back to win Max back, others were calling her a homewrecker and a slut for attempting to break up a couple that is in love and another set of people were saying their friendship is pure and special because they risked their lives to save her. Trixie immediately broke down as she read through social media because there were all sorts of rude and snide remarks about her there were even some that were abusing her shop and professionalism. And what made her heart drop was when she saw a picture of her and the twins in a post saying that explains her disappearance for six years. After all she was pregnant at sixteen with Max's child you can clearly see that the resemblance is uncanny. People were even saying she could've cheated on him and the child is actually Jake's explaining why he took such a terrible stab for her. Because he and Max look exactly the same making the twins look like them both which in a way is partially true. And then all of a sudden she got a phone call with terrible news.
