Akira turns to the hallway with several hotel doors, he sharpens his sense of smell and smells Connor's pheromones, then walks in the direction he went. He walks down the hall and notices an open door, following the scent of pheromones he enters the room and Mika is lying on the bed tied her hands, legs and mouth, she is unconscious.
"Why is there a beta here?"
Akira uses his claws to cut the ropes and removes the bite, he watches her.
"You're the beta who's friends with Yuki. I'll help you just this once."
Akira snaps his fingers and flames appear along with a demon.
"Great Demon King, how may I serve you?"
"Take her home. Ensure her safety for the rest of the day and don't let her see you."
"Yes, my lord."
He picks her up and disappears the same way he came.
"Now let's get back to my hunt."
He looks around and notices that the dresser drawer is open and clothes are tossed about.
"This is going to be fun."
Akira smells Connor's scent again, but it's getting fainter.
He follows it to the elevator door, stood still for a long time, concentrating the scent where he is.
"I thought you'd take the stairs..."
Akira easily opens the doors and hears the elevator going down, he jumps into the elevator shaft, when he sees that it is approaching him, Akira digs his claws into the wall to slow his speed, then when it is almost stopping he leaves the wall and jumps on top, making it shake. He opens the top and can see Connor huddled in the corner, near the buttons and the door.
Akira enters facing him.
"Did you really think you could run away from me?"
Connor pulls a gun from his pocket and points it at Akira.
"Stay away from me, demon!"
Akira looks at the panel and noticing that he is close to the ground floor, he makes his wings and claws disappear.
"Shoot." Akira ordered.
"Don't doubt me!"
The door is opened and when people were about to enter they see Connor pointing the gun at the back of the elevator where there is no one. They scream and Connor points the gun at them, then pushes them and runs out, withdrawing from the hotel, he stops panting in the street and when he looks back in the middle of the people he sees Akira standing there staring at him.
Connor runs again, he's at his limit. When he can't take it anymore he stops on a busy street, putting his hands on his knee looking down and breathing heavily.
"How long do you intend to run?" Akira asked right in front of him.
Connor looks up at him in fear, then points the gun at him and fires several times, the bullets passing through Akira's body.
"What? Did I miss?..."
"You didn't miss. In fact, you hit the bullseye."
Akira steps out in front of Connor showing that his bullet hit several people, including a police officer, but luckily all the shots were superficial.
"How?... I shot you!"
"You know Connor... while we were playing cat and mouse, I decided what your best ending would be. I could skin you, burn you alive... but they're such banal punishments."
Connor shoots again and can see the bullet going right through him, as if Akira were a hologram.
"How rude... Well, it doesn't matter, I'm going to make you lose everything you have."
"Do you think I'm afraid of you?! As long as there are omegas in this world I will continue to grow with my domain!"
Akira smiles.
"I think you didn't understand when I said I said everything..."
"A—"
