After taking his medicine, he goes back to the room and sits next to Connor, noticing that the dominant alpha is there. Yuki's class took forever to end, and with each word from the professor and every gesture, his sleepiness increased until he dozed off.

"Yuki.. wake up," Mika said, touching his arm.
Yuki wakes up startled.
"Take it easy, class is over," she said.
He looks to the side, rubbing his eyes, and Connor is on his phone, the only three of them left in the room.
"What time is it?"
"It's 9 pm, we were thinking about going out for a drink."
"I can't, I work the night shift at the grocery store," he said, getting up.
"I understand, better leave it for next time then," Connor replies, scrolling on his phone.
Mika stares at him furiously, her intentions couldn't be clearer.
"Don't worry, you two go ahead," Yuki picks up his backpack. "See you tomorrow."
"See ya," they both reply.
Yuki leaves campus and the further he walks, the colder the night becomes. He takes a scarf out of his bag and puts it on.
"Winter is getting closer and closer..."
He continues walking and after a long while, he arrives at the 24-hour grocery store. There is an elderly man at the cash register, having difficulty walking.
"Good thing you arrived, Yuki. I came earlier."
"My class ended earlier than I expected."
"You can go get changed, I'll be waiting for you."
Yuki heads to the locker room.
"Even with his walking problem, he's always so happy and working so hard to survive. Someone like him who already fought in the war shouldn't have to strain himself so much," he thought.
The locker room isn't very big, there's an employee bathroom, a few metal lockers, and an emergency door that leads to an alley used for garbage disposal. Yuki opens his locker and puts his backpack away when, as he pulls out his uniform shirt, the box falls out.
"If I don't run into Beatriz tomorrow, I better turn this in to the lost and found at the college. I don't want to keep this, it gives me a bad feeling."
Yuki picks up the box and on top of it, a phrase appears in cursive writing: "To the great infernal queen." Those words weren't there before.
"Could it be I didn't see it when I picked it up? It seems like every time I have this box, more things appear."
As he was about to put the box in his backpack, he hears a noise coming from the locker below, which is locked. At first, he thinks it's his imagination; however, a simple noise turns into scratches, like an animal desperate to get out.
"What the hell is that? Is there a dog trapped in the locker, or some other animal? Who would lock an animal in a locker?"
Yuki tries to force the locker door open, but it won't budge; even so, he continues. He turns to look for a tool to try to pry it open, but when he looks back, the blows become more violent, to the point of denting the door with small punches, made by hands the size of a baby's.
"What the... ! What kind of animal does that?!"
