Episode 7

The dawn was dragging on in Aron's mansion, especially today he couldn't sleep, everything in his head was focused on the baby's room, his thoughts sabotaged him, reminding him of the past, from the day he found out about Aurora's pregnancy to her death in that damn hospital, he could never accept it.

When he was being overtaken by sleep and his eyelashes were almost closing, Aron was startled by Liam's crying coming from the next room, the little one was making a real scandal.

Aron tried to relax and leave it to the maids, but he couldn't because of the persistent screams that were becoming distressing.

Aron - What a mess I've gotten myself into!

He grumbled and got out of bed, putting on a robe to cover his body, after all, he didn't want to scare the girls since he was only wearing short shorts.

Upon entering the room, Liam had a red face from crying so much, one of the girls was finishing changing his diaper.

Aron - What's going on here?

Val - Oh sir, what a startle! It's...

With the scare, she dropped all the disposable diapers on the floor.

Aron - Give him to me, you clumsy girl!

He reaches out and takes Liam.

Aron - Calm down, champ, everything's okay!

He lightly pats the baby's back.

Aron - Get out!

Val - Right away, sir!

The two hurry up and leave the room.

Aron - Why this crying, huh? Were those two clumsy girls mistreating you? I don't think so!

The baby sniffles and rests his face on Aron's shoulder. Aron feels strange about this affectionate gesture from the little one, it seemed like Liam felt comfortable in his presence.

Aron approaches the armchair where the baby's bag was and turns it over, throwing everything inside onto the upholstery. He frowns with a feeling of pity upon noticing that the baby had hardly anything, he feels his chest tighten and a lump in his throat.

Liam ends up falling asleep in Aron's arms, which is soon noticed by feeling his warm breath on his neck.

Aron - Sleeping?

He sighs and approaches the dresser that contained some unused things for his son, but all of them were clean and fragrant. Aron made sure to keep everything in order and without a musty smell.

He opened the first drawer and took out a blue blanket, wrapped Liam in it, and took him to the crib. But to his surprise, the baby didn't want to stay there and immediately started crying.

Aron - Missing the orphanage, huh?

With no other choice at the moment, Aron left the room with the little one in his arms, entered his suite, and headed to the balcony with a view of his incredible illuminated garden.

Aron - Well, I'll stay with you until you fall asleep! And don't get used to it, I don't like spoiled children.

He pulled the rocking chair and sat facing the balcony.

At dawn, Olivia went to the orphanage as usual. However, this time she had a terrible disappointment when she was informed that the judge found a temporary home for little Liam.

Olivia couldn't believe it and went into despair, she went after Ruth, feeling deceived.

Olivia - I'm going to beat you up!

The doorman had to intervene and hold Olivia, who was out of control breaking everything, they even called the police.

She pushes them away.

Olivia was already leaving, but upon hearing this, she stops and looks Ruth in the eyes.

There was silence in the air, everyone was silent.

Olivia - I wonder if things would be different if I were rich and could fill your pockets with money. I wonder if you would be treating me like a nobody right now or inviting me for a private conversation in your office and serving me tea and cookies.

The silence continues, these words remain as a moment of reflection for everyone present. After that, Olivia left and Ruth decided not to file a complaint after suffering several losses from the damage caused by a desperate person, up to that point the attitude was understandable but not tolerated.

With no energy to look for a job, Olivia went straight home as she just wanted to sleep and pass her time. She had a slight impression that when she was hibernating, her problems instantly disappeared.

And that's how the entire day went, she felt devastated and hopeless. Probably in a month, she would be out on the streets with no means to pay a miserable rent, and on top of that, no one would give her a chance for an internship in the dental assistant field since she was not yet qualified.

It seemed like this time she hit rock bottom and sank into the dense mud with no way of getting out anytime soon.

Olivia - I'm sorry, Ember... I couldn't do it!

She blinked and tears slid down her cheek, which she immediately wiped away with her forearm. She looked up and stared at the even worse infiltration, with an aspect that was almost scary, along with the real mud taking over the side.

Olivia - Ahhh...

She screamed and kicked the bucket already filled with dirty water, splattering the entire bedroom carpet. Stressed with everything happening in her life, Olivia took a photo of the infiltration and left her apartment barefoot, took the elevator, and went down to the reception.

She slammed her phone hard on the wooden counter, catching the attention of two residents who were talking at the building's entrance.

Olivia - I just can't take it anymore, either you call the building owner and report my problem or I won't pay rent anymore until the issue is resolved.

Janitor - I'll call him right away!

Olivia - Call him, I want to see!

Woman - Is there a problem, miss?

One of the women approached and touched Olivia's shoulder, causing her to recoil and snap out of her trance.

Woman - Are you okay, miss?

Olivia - Actually, no!

She tilted her head back and looked up, trying to hold back the tears.

Olivia - My life is just like the infiltration in my room, a never-ending problem.
