story teller
Incarnate roommate.
The clock showing 12.30 midnight but Kamarul's eyes still did not want to sleep. His other two roommates are studying hard since the test is near.
Wanting to study the lesson, Kamarul felt lazy.
Looking at the corner of the bed, piled up dirty clothes in a basket and unable to sleep, Kamarul decided to wash clothes and dry that night as well.
Seeing his behavior as he was separating the dirty clothes, Farid asked if he really wanted to continue with that intention.
"Follow your heart, it's scary to wash clothes at midnight, not to mention the clothes drying place is at the end of the block... It's scary for him too.
"But since Farid promised to have a friend after he finished washing, I continued with the intention of washing the clothes that night," he said.
Without wasting time, Kamarul went to the bathroom located at the end of the college building. It was quite quiet since there was no one else in the bathroom.
Kamarul diligently washed all his clothes until he forgot about his surroundings.
But it was not for nothing that his concentration was interrupted when he heard the voice of someone clearing his throat like the voice of his roommate, Farid.
When he tried to call, there was no response from Farid and without thinking, he continued with the washing until it was finished.
"Instead of thinking about fear, I focused more on the feeling of breaking my back because I squatted so much and scrubbed all my clothes.
"I didn't think long about Farid who I called but didn't answer," he said.
The clock then showed 1.30 in the morning and without delay, Kamarul continued towards the hanging room before he was surprised when Farid suddenly appeared from behind where Kain was hanging with his back to him.
Kamarul who was a little surprised asked his friend how he suddenly appeared there but his question was not answered and Farid just looked at the field in front of the suspension.
Tired Kamarul mumbled while hanging up his shirt but Farid didn't give any response at all but he kept thinking positively even though his heart tickled that he was not his friend.
"I still didn't think anything and thought maybe Farid was sleepy and lazy to serve my food. The most important thing is not to feel too scared because I have a friend to accompany me.
"But when I invited Farid back to the room, only then did he speak up and ask me to go home first," he said.
Kamarul was confused because Farid not only did not want to go back to the room but his friend remained in the same position and did not turn his head towards him.
"I started to feel uneasy when Farid just stood there and suddenly I felt like there was no one there.
"Normally, Farid is not like this and he is the loudest person in our college," he reminded me.
Reluctant to think long, Kamarul left Farid alone in the hanging area and went back to his room. When passing through the pantry area, Kamarul felt as if someone was in the room and was watching him.
"I felt through the corner of my eye that there was someone standing by the pantry door, when I turned around there was no one there. I hurried back to the room while hugging the bucket," he said.
As soon as he reached the room, it was dark and when the light was turned on, Kamarul accidentally dropped the bucket he was hugging after seeing Farid sleeping soundly. How surprised he was to see it.
Kamarul immediately woke up Farid, asking how he could get to the room first but his friend's answer left Kamarul speechless.
"I thought, if it's Farid, how could he get to the room before me? Even though there is no other way to our room.
"My hair kept standing up straight and I kept thinking who was accompanying it on the hanger? Since then I really wanted to wash my clothes at midnight," he said.
The end.
Live with jinn
The house at the end of the road has been uninhabited for almost a year. Every time a new tenant comes in, it sure doesn't last long.
One of the residents of the park, Zahrul Baharuddin, informed that the longest the house was inhabited was for a month before the tenant moved out in search of another place to live.
Due to the frequency of tenants coming in and out, there was talk among the residents about the mystery surrounding the house which, to the ***** eye, was very beautiful and well-kept.
That morning, there was a flurry of notifications on the WhatsApp group indicating the latest gossip - Zalifah's sister, who is known as an uncertified journalist in the area, informed the clan house that there was a new 'victim'!
Three months passed, the new resident of the house showed no signs of escaping so much that his courage to stay alone in the house became the talk of the WhatsApp group and of course led by Sister Zalifah.
"What was surprising was that the male tenant suddenly came to my house to ask for help looking at the condition of his house.
"His face looked restless and without being asked, the man known as Syamsul told a long story about the real problems he faced during three months of renting the house... Zalifah's sister let go this time," he said.
Narrating what was bothering him, Syamsul told him that he rented the house because the rate was reasonable, the house was also beautiful and it was close to where he worked.
In the beginning, Syamsul said that nothing strange happened in the house but he often heard noises as if something was crawling and running around on the roof of the house.
"I thought it might be the sound of mice running in the ceiling, so I ignored it or thought that something creepy was going on in the house," Syamsul said as Zahrul narrated.
The window was wide open, a glimpse of the kitchen
Until one day, Syamsul stopped by the house to pick up the items that were left at around 1pm and his blood rushed because he thought there were robbers in his house.
He could clearly hear when he stepped into the house the sound of people's footsteps but when he checked there was no one and the situation inside the house was as usual.
"Syamsul feels strange how the kitchen window can be wide open and even more strange there is a dry leaf in the sink. There are no trees behind the house," Zahrul said.
That night, after prayer and dinner, Syamsul called his fiancee. The call had become routine because otherwise, Juliana would have searched for him all the way to the wormhole!
While he and his
While we were chatting, Syamsul suddenly noticed a flash of white passing in the part of the kitchen facing the sofa where he was sitting in the living room.
Befriending Juliana at the end of the line, Syamsul dared to check the kitchen. Turned to the left, to the right, there was no one in the kitchen.
"Throughout the night Syamsul thought about the glimpse he saw earlier... it wasn't an illusion. He couldn't sleep that night because he was imagining the glimpse that passed in front of him earlier.
"Even though he didn't see clearly, Syamsul knew that the white glimpse he saw resembled a woman, with long hair, still stroking her hair remembering what he saw earlier," he said.
To get rid of the feeling of fear, Syamsul opened an MP3 of al-Quran verses in his phone, for a moment the feeling of unease disappeared and he finally fell asleep.
Fainted suddenly
The next day, while taking a shower, Syamsul noticed on his left wrist there was a wound like a cat's scratch. When touched, it hurts.
Some other parts of his body were also scratched, such as his calves, neck and legs.
That evening, returning from work, Syamsul once again saw the same glimpse in his kitchen. The difference this time, the glimpse he saw was in a clear and real form.
"The twinkle looked right at his face. The creature's face was terrifying and it was hard for him to describe his fear.
"The more he looked at it, the creature got closer to him which made him feel scared until he fell to the floor and fainted," Zahrul said.
Meanwhile, Syamsul stayed for almost four months in that house because he had nowhere else to go but was saving up for marriage preparations.
Furthermore, the creature just noticed him but never made any other disturbance like possessing him.
What made Syamsul unable to bear it was, the glimpse started to appear without counting the time and his house started to smell bad and he himself did not know the cause of the smell.
But he suspected it had something to do with the creature and it was a way of trying to drive it out.
Meanwhile, Zahrul said, he who knew an ustaz, asked for his help to restore Syamsul's house and Alhamdulillah the glimpse was gone.
Most importantly, he said, previously his house always felt hot but since he managed to 'drive him out', the house has become cool and comfortable.
The end.
The strange story of the funeral procession
Every time he comes across a hearse, Ikhwan will definitely feel a cold horror remembering the incident that happened to him a year ago.
Still fresh in his mind when he visited the death of a resident of a nearby mosque after he was brought home from the hospital.
After the Asr prayer and funeral prayer, according to Ikhwan, Haji Abu (not his real name) invited him to send the corpse to Bentong, Pahang from Alor Setar, Kedah since there was no representative or heir of the corpse present.
"I was a little reluctant at first because I felt that there were other people like the mosque committee who could accompany Haji Abu to accompany the body.
"But when I remember Haji Abu who I consider like my own father, I agree," he said.
While on the way, Ikhwan said, his stomach suddenly felt quite hungry and asked Haji Abu to stop at a rest area to buy food.
At that time, Ikhwan said, the clock showed 11 pm and after finishing buying food he returned to the van and was surprised to see the back door of the van wide open.
As a result of the slurred speech, the hearse shook
While running, Ikhwan immediately told Haji Abu about the open door
"At that time I did not suspect anything but after we continued our journey, suddenly there was a voice as if someone was talking in a whisper.
"The creepiest thing was that there were several different voices that seemed to be whispering to each other in the back of the van.
"I turned my head and looked at the coffin before telling Haji Abu what I heard," he said.
Ikhwan added, Haji Abu then spontaneously stopped the van on the side of the road and covered his mouth and warned him not to talk carelessly about what he heard.
"At that same time, Ikhwan said, the van suddenly vibrated as if someone had shaken it and I was surprised when I saw from the side mirror that two creatures were jumping on the roof of the van.
"At that time I was about to run but my hand was held tightly by Haji Abu before he chanted the call to prayer as loud as he could... The two creatures gradually disappeared," he said.
When the people were lifting the coffin, Haji Abu recited verses from the Quran
When he got to Bentong, Haji Abu decided to use the village road because it was faster even though he felt bad since it was already 2.30 in the morning.
But Ikhwan only obeyed because he wanted to reach his destination as soon as possible because he was not willing to experience various disturbances along the way.
Ikhwan said he started to feel horror when he saw the condition of the road which was quiet and there were no street lights and only hoped for light from the lights of the van.
"In the darkness, suddenly from a distance we saw a group of villagers walking carrying a coffin. I felt strange and I asked Haji Abu various questions.
"But Haji Abu didn't answer any of those questions and I saw his mouth twitching as he read the Qur'anic verse. I myself read the Kursi verse over and over again," he said.
What he couldn't forget, when passing the group, he looked at them and was surprised that they all didn't have perfect faces.
"Haji Abu really sped up when he saw me in such a state of fear that I had a fever for a few days after the incident.
"Alhamdulillah no other bad things happened and the body was buried safely... I just told Haji Abu that I no longer want to follow him after this," he said before ending the story...
The end.
