As if to shatter any semblance of hope that things could get better, a particularly loud thud on the door and a chorus of sickening groans reminds Jungkook that they are trapped here.

Jungkook's eyes leave Taehyung's as they snap over to the doorway.

His eyes drift down to the huge, darkening puddle of blood on the floor of the entryway left behind by Taehyung when he... when he...

Jungkook feels sick.

Taehyung tightens his grip on Jungkook's face, which is still in his hands, to bring the younger man's attention back to him.

Jungkook looks at him again.

Taehyung

Don't worry about them.

Taehyung

They can't get in here.

Jungkook wonders how Taehyung could be so sure about that but he doesn't voice his doubt out loud.

Taehyung's hands finally leave Jungkook's face and the younger man misses the comforting touch already.

He ushers Jungkook over to the couch and makes him sit down.

Taehyung takes a seat beside him and grabs the remote and changes the channel to something less depressing which so happens to be an episode of Anpanman.

He turns up the volume just enough to drown out the moans of the dead outside.

Jungkook laughs.

Jungkook

I haven't watched this since I was a kid.

Taehyung smiles. He likes the sound of Jungkook's laughter.

Taehyung

Since you were a kid?

Taehyung

I still watch this!

Jungkook laughs again and Taehyung decides that yes, this is his favorite sound.

As Jungkook watches TV, Taehyung watches him. It's hard to believe that he's really here with Jungkook in his apartment (under less than ideal circumstances but whatever).

He stares a bit too long and Jungkook catches him out of the corner of his eye.

His head turns to Taehyung.

Jungkook

Taehyung has a question that he wants to ask him, a question that has haunted him since Jungkook left school.
