Episode Nine
Taehyung hears the busy signal yet again, and he wants to throw his phone against the wall.
What is going on with emergency services?
Why aren't they answering?
A horrifying thought crosses Taehyung's mind.
What if there were similar occurrences happening all over the city and that is the reason why he keeps getting a busy signal?
He only gets to reflect on the question briefly before feeling a sharp pain in his neck.
Those are teeth sinking into his flesh.
He pries the mouth off of him and pushes the threat away.
The woman who is supposed to be dead is alive... or something.
She looks like a sickly shell of her former self, growling and shuffling unnaturally.
Taehyung clamps his hand over the spot where he had been bitten, trying to apply pressure to the wound, but blood keeps gushing out, coating his fingers in the warm sticky substance.
The creature lunges at him, and he bashes its head with the smartphone in his hand, pieces flying everywhere.
That doesn't stop the beast.
It lunges again, teeth latching painfully onto Taehyung's forearm.
He lets out a pained scream.
The two end up falling onto the floor.
Taehyung frees himself from the creature's jaws, scrambling to his feet and delivering a stiff kick to the creature's face.
Taehyung makes a run for the door with the creature rising to chase after him.
He swings open the door and exits, closing the door behind him before the creature could come out into the hallway with him.
