Episode 75

It has been a month since the day I gave birth to my children, and these days have been wonderful. Nicolas has been working mostly from home, and we also decided to hire a nanny to help us with the care of our newborn twins, as it can be quite challenging to attend to them both at the same time. Right now, I am in the garden with the nanny, who is holding Brett, while I hold little Cailin in my arms.

"Darling, I finally found you," Nicolas says.

"Love, we brought the children out to soak up some sun," I reply.

"Come with daddy," Nicolas says, taking Brett from Alejandra, the nanny. "You can go now," he tells her, and she heads inside.

"Love, don't you think it's time to go back to work?" I ask.

"Don't tell me that my dear wife is tired of my company, because that would deeply hurt me," he responds.

"It's not about that, but it's not right for you to neglect your work," I explain.

"I just don't want to leave them alone," Nicolas says.

"I understand that you worry about us, but life goes on and we can't stop in the face of adversity," I say.

"You're right, I should go back. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow, but today I'll dedicate myself to you during the day, and at night, I'll dedicate myself solely to my wife. Understand that four months feel like an eternity to me. I'm on the verge of being hopeless," Nicolas says.
